Seeing Wisteria cooking and Hue sitting while reading the daily newspaper, she smiled warmly while cooking an obvious sign she enjoyed the rare moment of leisure. Her smile was as radiant as the sun that could blind people seeing it directly, sweet yet bright with a hint of a child's pure smile. Her smile would unconsciously make other people smile and want to get closer to her.
"Good morning!"
Wisteria and Hue stiffed but upon seeing her smile, they visibly relaxed.
"Good morning, just wait a bit more I'm almost done cooking."
Reen nodded tactfully ignoring their initial reaction and sat on Hue's right side looking at the table full of food. Though they had servants to do the cooking, Wisteria insisted on cooking whenever she had spare time. She believes through this they can become closer as a family.
There were sunny side eggs, hotdog, bacon, rice, milk, vegetable salad, coffee and bread which are more than enough for 5 people let alone them being only 3 to eat. The servant's food is cooked separately as there are too many for Wisteria to cook for.
She didn't know if she would laugh or cry, if she continues eating like this every day she will grow fatter than she is now; Though it's been years since she is eating this way but nevertheless that does not ease her mind of the possibility of being fat.
Hue placed the newspaper on the table while greeting her in return,
"Good morning my Angel!" Hue said dotingly
"Good morning Uncle!"
Hearing this, Hue puffed his cheeks like a spoiled brat as he glared at Reen. Seeing this, Reen dumbly looked at him.
"Hmp!" He childishly turned his head and pretended to ignore her.
Reen just stared at him filled curiosity at his reaction. Wisteria who just finished cooking sat at the left side of Hue notice this and couldn't help but chuckle at the both of their reactions.
"Didn't we tell you to stop calling us that way?" She said with a pout finally willing to help the confuse child.
As though realizing her mistake, Reen blanked out a bit and stared at Wisteria then at Hue.
She blushed and whispered
"I mean dad... mom..."
Reen was not used to addressing them intimately even being their adopted daughter for 2 years now. Hearing this, Wisteria warmly smiled while Hue beamingly looked at her as proud as a peacock [1] at being called this way.
They started eating; the initial awkward atmosphere (mostly Reen) faded away and replaced with a cosy one.
When Reen finished eating, (she ate everything as Wisteria makes a very worried face each time she doesn't finish the food. Or a hurt filled face saying her food wasn't tasty enough for her and would cook better next time. Striking guild and pity inside Reen) she couldn't take those expressions so even though she's full, she forces herself to finish all the food.
Eventually, she got use to finishing such large portions of food. To the extent that even if Wisteria doesn't cook for them, a small portion of food cooked by the servants is not enough to satiate her hunger. Thus even without her asking, the servants serve her large quantity of food.
