The empress lunged at the chest and snatched the pieces of black and white clothing putting them close to her hear.
For someone like her that adored good quality clothes, this was really a blessing.
Liu Lian yawn as she sat on the grass across from Bo Jing in the general garden. She had invited him for a picnic because she had been bored after the princess's birthday.
Nagini lazily coiled up on a sunny patch of grass to sleep. Liu Lian had made him bite the horrid noble girl for her, his mouth tasted like dirt hours after the incident.
Acts like trash, tastes like trash, no wonder she had been taken down by our main character that easily.
Bo Jing ate the rice she had prepared with the unique red sauce filled with delicious meats and vegetables. She had called it rice and stew, he had never heard of it so he was only willing to taste.
"Mei Mei this is actually amazing!" He said as he had his first spoon, he had no idea Liu Lian knew how to cook so damn well.
Liu Lian smiled in gratitude as she watched Bo Jing eat more and more.
"I'm jealous of brother in law, he gets free delicious food for free!" He said in between mouth fulls. Who said Feng Chen could have it for free? When did she ever say that?
"Jie Jie!" Liu Qing came running over to the two with a large smile on his face. Since he had been saved by Liu Lian he had followed her around like a cute little duckling and she was naturally happy to have a minion following her around.
Liu Lian opened her arms and Liu Qing ran into them as she embraced him, having such a cute brother wasn't so bad.
"Little Qing, you've come!" She exclaimed with clear excitement, Liu Lian was extremely adorable. The Liu family had been blessed with good looks, even Liu Qing who was the youngest was considered handsome.
Liu Lian picked up her chopsticks and an empty bowl before filling it to the brim with rice and stew. She made sure to add lots of beef and she watched as he stared at it in amazement.
Then he dug in.
Bo Jing laughed as she clapped his hands and a jug of wine was brought to them with a jug of apple juice. They drank, ate and made merry.
They looked like a happy family.
Liu Bai grit her teeth as she watched them from afar. Liu Lian had taken everything away from her, her family, her status, her reputation, even her brother. My apologies Liu Bai, please don't let our main character's happiness force you to taste some foul vinegar!
She was determined not to let Liu Lian live!
She turned away from the blissful scene and headed back to her courtyard.
