I thought about some of the games I'd played in my past life. New game + was a resetting of stats and progress to start a new game with a bonus. I couldn't know the specifics but it seemed like one of the best options. I stopped hesitating and chose it. My vision went black, while from an outside perspective my body was covered in a golden light. This lasted a few minutes before the light faded and I opened my eyes.
'System can you show me more information on the NG+ option now that I have it unlocked?'
[New Game + (True Legendary)]
[When the host dies he will be given merit points based on his achievements to buy upgrades. The host will then be given the option of reincarnating in the same world or a random one. The host will be penalized for having underwhelming achievements.]
I barely managed to read the description of the skill as I was still in shock looking at the rating of the skill. A true legendary was far higher than anything I'd seen, probably by a quite a few leagues. The effects matched up to the skill rating though. I nearly jumped in joy, knowing the issue of dying again had been mostly solved. Of course, it would probably fully reset me if I died, and having to start from the beginning wasn't extremely appealing. I was at least satisfied knowing that if I met something far stronger than me and couldn't escape I'd have a backup plan.
I figured I should open my stats and see what was new.

I put two points into dexterity and one into wisdom. Looking at my SC I didn't really know what to do as I was still only authorized to buy uncommon items, though I figure I've gotten pretty lucky with items so far. Possibly because of my luck stat. I figure it's time to grind my level up hard, as until now I'd really only gone up a few levels at most each time I'd resolved myself to the grind. Now that I'm thinking about it I just had a really good idea. If I cant but items why not buy as many functions related to the system as possible? 'System what would you recommend buying?'
[Map - 500 SC]
[Advanced Enemy Status - 250 SC]
[Advanced Database - 750 SC]
[Advance Shop Privileges - 5000 SC]
I bought the first three but sucked in my breath at the last one's price. 'System how will it unlock the next tier of items in the shop?'
[Buying the Advance Shop Privileges will advance all privileges by one tier. Lv.10 will unlock epic items, Lv.20 unique items and so on and so forth.]
Knowing that it wasn't just going to skip two levels and unlock the next tier but give me every tier ten levels faster made me grit my teeth and immediately buy it. I quickly browsed through the shop before buying five rare health potion for 500 SC each.
[Health Potion - Rare]
[Restores 200 HP]
All together I spent 9000 SC in one go. I activated the map function, a minimap displaying my current area and a few miles around it in a circle appeared in the top right of my vision. 'System, can you show me the location of all the monsters in this forest?'
[Yes, displaying now...]
As the system message came across my map updated, this time with thousands of red circles cluttering what I assumed to be the forest. I found I could zoom in and out at will. I played with it for a few minutes before I got comfortable with it. I zoomed in to show around two miles around me and took off towards the nearest enemy, picking up Charlotte and setting her on my back.
I arrived there only around a dozen seconds later with my spear at the ready. I found a snake around a meter long in a tree nearby. I didn't use any mana and sliced it clean in half. It spasmed for a few seconds before ceasing movement.

I smiled and continued on, leaving the body there. I found another target and headed towards it. It turned out to be another forest snake and I killed it in the same manner as I had the first. I kept on like this for a few minutes, then around half an hour, and before I knew it the sun had fallen and risen again with me continuing to hunt. I fell into the zone, only taking in the position of my target before moving silently in for the kill. Days passed as this continued, my state of mind becoming more and more simple, my movements becoming more refined with each kill.
I woke up on what I think was the third day, starving and almost completely out of stamina. The surrounding forest had been reduced to an ashen wasteland. I took a nearby corpse of a particularly large snake and put it through auto-cooking before eating the entire thing. I remembered Charlotte and found her on the ground next to me, far larger than she had been last time. She was now around four feet tall. I was about to check her status when I was interrupted by non-stop notifications.

My jaw must've hung open for at least five minutes as I tried to process all of my skills. 'System, can you show me my status page?'

I put all 9 points into vitality as it was my lowest physical stat by far. I was again about to open Charlotte's status page when a gargantuan roar sounded out from far above the forest.
