The bright red scales of the Thorny Iguana reflected the sunlight, making the BOSS look a lot lika a sun. However, this was just one of the BOSS' skills, Reflect.
The skill could reflect any attack that was directed to it, and the most dangerous part was : it happened unexpectedly. This was why a healer was crucial in this operation. Although Dye's heals were effective, she wasn't a full fledged healer, and it would hold them back.
There was another way to beat the Thorny Iguana without employing a healer, but it would be really hard for each player.
And that method was...
Paying attention to the BOSS' scale movements.
It might sound weird or unbelievable, because it was supposed to be a PC game, and it would be hard to see the BOSS' scale movements, but if one paid very close attention...
One could see the scales opening and closing during Reflect.
Another troublesome thing was the BOSS' bloodline. Dye had created factions, to match up with the popular games then. The Dragon faction wouldn't be as welcoming to them the time they had killed the Thorny Iguana, despite the Thorny Iguana not being a full fledged dragon.
As soon as Thorny Iguana went into view, Ynoir quickly vanished. Lin Mao, who had received a new Purple tier broadsword from Dye, quickly used Charge. His broadsword glowed blood red as it struck the Thorny Iguana. It dealt only 150 Damage, seemingly isignificant to the 100000 HP the BOSS had.
The BOSS also attacked, taking 5% of Lin Mao's HP. However, Lin Mao's HP suddenly healed.
This was the hidden effect of the new Purple tier broadsword, Lifesteal.
[Killer Blood (Weapon) (Broadsword)]
[700-1000 Basic DMG (level surpression 100-300 DMG)]
[+30 ATK points]
[+60 HP]
[Lifesteal : 5%]
[Class : Swordsman.]
[Durability : 879/1000]
Durability helped players predict when the weapon would break. With it they could repair the weapon on time. Dye took into consideration what players say about their weapons suddenly breaking without any notice.
Though, that single attack directly took 1 Durability out of the broadsword.
Dye's eye twitched. If the weapon was Bronze tier or above, it wouldn't affect the total statistics of the broadsword.
But the BOSS was actually 7 levels higher than them...that made sense...
Dye looked at her Purple tier pendant, before cursing under her breath and sent a Fireball at the BOSS. She hadn't fused with the ice element yet, resulting in her being unable to deal much damage onto the Thorny Iguana.
Even though Thorny Iguana had an earth dragon bloodline, the Dragon faction had this one specialty that everyone wouldn't be able to forget.
They had high fire resistance.
That Fireball hit the Thorny Iguana, but only dealt 50 Damage, way less than Lin Mao's. Finally, Dye decided she should just focus on healing and paying attention to the scales' movements.
"Lin Mao! Attack the left side!" She shouted, as the right side was in Reflect state right now. Lin Mao quickly used Sky Leap and arrived at the other side of the Thorny Iguana smoothly. Because Lin Mao kept on moving around, his MP was depleting quickly.
Dye's hands didn't stop moving as she cast a Mage's Wish Lin Mao's way. Mage's Wish was supposed to be a Magician's level 6 spell. It recovered MP and added 1% to the teammate's MP recovery. It could be increased by 1% every time the skill's level increased. Because she used it numerous times, it had already turned to 7%.
7% was already a lot.
The BOSS' HP steadily decreased as Lin Mao attacked it. Ynoir snuck some attacks once in a while, fully coordinating with Lin Mao.
However, as the BOSS' HP was about to reach 10%, it suddenly went back to full. The blood evaporated from the BOSS' body. It didn't seem to enter a new phase or beserk mode.
It simply healed.
Dye wanted to groan as she looked at the system Log.
[Thorny Iguana used Blood Sacrifice]
Which meant it could heal itself from the damage it received, a special skill with a long cooldown time special to earth dragons.
'Wherever they are...dragons are troublesome...,' Dye sighed, 'but that's what makes them really cool.'
