Chapter 16 - Ynoir

Although he was the Elven Ancestor, he had 'died' when he was 16.

Ynoir had never told anyone that he was poisoned but the current Elven Grand Elder. He woke up not too long ago...and used the sacred treasure [Teleportation Talisman] to escape the clutches of the Grand Elder. Even if he had it in his hands, the despicable Grand Elder had managed to track him down. In the end, he barely escaped.

After that, he met Dye.

He could never tell Dye how grateful he was when she picked him up into the Elemtalist Guild. Although he was a bit skeptical of her, he respected her for her strength.

There were no other Elementalist that used a pendant like her. Of course, if this was the game, there should be lots of them...but this wasn't the game. Dye was an oddball.

The few days he was 'fleeing' from the Grand Elder, many girls praised him for his looks, and many men stared at him with envy. He wasn't an albino, as people said it. His silvery white hair and his ruby red eyes were the after effects of the poisoning.

It seemed like he would never be able to retain his original appearance.

The Grand Elder used his current appearance as an advantage, telling his people that he had fallen into the dark side.

If he didn't assimilate the poison, he would die. His tenacity wasn't one to be underestimated.

When they were young, he and the Grand Elder were students of that man. That man had said that there would be a bright future for him, and said nothing to the Grand Elder. Because of this, the Grand Elder slowly built envy...

And to think that the Grand Elder was his senior...

That man...must be somewhere out there.

As the man said he had a bright future, the King of Elves chose him to be the successor.

Coincidentally, the King had no legitimate sons or daughters...but the Grand Elder was his illegitimate son.

The Grand Elder, hearing his father's decision, was enraged, but somehow, after 3 days locking himself up in his room...he suddenly 'accepted' his loss and his 'inability' to ascend to the throne.

Who would think that he would poison him a day before the crowning ceremony, the Grand Elder poisoned him...by giving him a glass of water.

And the whole glass was tasteless, scentless, colourless poison.

How the Grand Elder wanted him to die so bad, but never got the chance to land a scratch on him as he raised his guard almost all the time. Ynoir still remembered the smirk on the Grand Elder's face when he took the glass of water.

Fortunately, the Grand Elder was never able to land a hand on [Passion], even though he had became king. Who would think that [Passion] would follow him the day he left.

This incited the Grand Elder's fury further. He was never able to receive [Passion]'s aknowledgement. Only those who had became king would be able to touch [Passion], yet not only was he unable to, his descendants were also unable to even stand fifteen meters around it. To think that the man he poisoned centuries ago was able to make [Passion] follow him around.

The Grand Elder never knew that Ynoir would eventually meet Dye.

And his life with Dye, would be much better than a king's life.

Ynoir was introduced to new delicious food. Dye patiently treated his wounds, and taught him the new letters that the humans and other races decided on. Beginner's Village wasn't only filled with humans. There were also Gnomes, Dwarves, and even Fairies.

The clueless Ynoir, who didn't know that Dye had a system that translated everything the two of them said to be 'understandable' was very happy that Dye took the time to teach him. She even made him a book humans called a 'Dictionary'.

His powers had deteriorated to level 2. However his physical constitution had became significantly higher than before. This was why he was only 'weakened' when Dye found him.

They fought numerous monsters together. Dye's strategy, and Lin Mao's constant teasing...it somehow had became a part of his life...

Ynoir smiled as they finally took Thorny Iguana's third form down to 50%. He could see that Dye had difficulties maintaining their health.

"Dye, leave everything to me...,"

Dye's eyes widened at that sentence. Ynoir's hands took something that was concealed by his ink black robe.

In his hands, was the familiar red coloured [Passion].
