And that person was..
Lee Ji-eun, or as what the majority of people know her by, IU!
They looked at each other for a bit, and Jieun seemed embarressed for some reason, her temperament was very timid if he had to give it an evalutation. She couldn't look at him in the eyes and she bowed a bit too deeply. She had said before on a variety show that she had an introverted personality, he now knows that it wasn't a lie.
He just wondered why she approached him. Maybe she was also keen on meeting her co-stars? It seemed a bit sudden no?
"Oh sorry, sorry! Wrong person!" A second hadn't even passed and she quickly hurried off to somewhere after she had bowed, obviously trying to get further away from him.
...
'Are you kidding me?'
'Ya~, that's just....'
He was expecting at least an introduction, but this, this is just giving false hope to him.
To be honest, he froze for a second. Seeing IU for the first time from so upclose was a very surreal feeling. Every fan would have that type of feeling, but he supressed it. It also wasn't that strong anyway, he wasn't that type of guy.
Fans could really be scary, especially those uncles in the military, they go absolutely nuts when they see a female celebrity, especially when a girl group showes up....
He hoped she'd at least start a basic conversation with him though, but contrary to his expectations, she actually just dashed off.
Ah well, he will have plenty of opportunities to hold conversations with her in the future.
While he was still looking at where in the world Jieun had run off to, JYP and Suji had already gone over to the rest of the staff, preparing to shoot some scenes.
JYP was looking at him from a distance; asking, "Minjae-ya(~), come here for a second."
The whole staff turned their attention towards him, in just an instant, he had become the center of attention.
He walked towards them, trying to act like the gazes didn't affect him at all. He felt a bit uncomfortable, even though he attracted a lot of stares from a lot of people in this new life of his, he still couldn't get fully used to it.
He could act like he did though, it was just normal.
Celebrities also feel nervous, even when they don't show it.
Aside from the more intense looks from the females that he got while talking, the rest of the discussion about filming related matters and introductions went pretty smoothly.
Since some of them were essentially newbie actors and actresses, they had to receive a lot of advice and information, so it took quite a while until they started filming.
Jieun had also introduced herself, to everyone of course.
After about half an hour of talking and practicing, the first scene of the movie was being filmed, finally. He was getting sick of those drills that the staff gave them.
He wasn't present in the first scene, so he had to wait.
It was quite a cool scene, Taecyeon would do some parkour, and would eventually end up using a fire extinguisher in the middle of the main hall of the school to blast away his foes.
His scene would be somewhere else, which was the countryside. They would first film the things they needed to film at Kirin High School, where they were at right now. And after that they would go to the 'countryside' which was merely a broken down house and field somewhere about half an hour away from the main set.
The set was very colorful. There were a lot of different outfits and equipment was also there. The green screen was the icing on the cake though. It made the set even look a bit magical, at least, that was the impression he got.
He would get used to it overtime, he would come here a lot from now on. He will probably visit a lot of other filming sets as well, this wasn't going to be his only project.
Since Dream High was Soohyun's start, the same will go for him.
Honestly, almost his whole acting career would be stolen by him. He had already planned it all out.
His acting career, if everything goes well, will go like this,
- Dream High (2011), received high domestic ratings, averaging around 20%
- Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), received the 'national drama' status due to ratings over 40%
- The Thieves (2012), second highest-grossing movie in Korean film history
- The Heirs (2013), it enjoyed immense popularity both locally, with a peak rating of 28.6%, and internationally, having over one billion hits on a famous Chinese streaming site.
- Secretly, Greatly (2013), very popular movie in Korea, Soohyun even won the Daesang(~) for this movie.
- My Love From the Star (2013-2014), one of the most, if not the most famous K-drama, ever.
The Heirs was going to be a role very hard to get, he would have to contend with Lee Min-ho, who had already become a famous actor. But he also couldn't pass up on The Heirs, since it was about as famous as My Love From the Star.
If he lands his role in TMETS(~), then he will also be famous, but Lee Min-ho would still outclass him.
Minho had starred in the legendary Boys over Flowers, including a lot of other popular movies and dramas. Resulting in him becoming a Hallyu star.
He also didn't know what he should do after 2014, since that would be the time GOT7 debuts. He didn't know if he would be able to act in any other movie/drama due to clashing schedules.
He would love to act in other movies, but he didn't know if it was possible.
He would have to ask JYP.
JYP had already told him that he had plans for his debut as a singer in an idol group, and the only boy group that will emerge in the nearby future is GOT7, and....
Oh shit, is he going to be in JJ project?
That... He would rather not...
It was way too cringey....
He could use the excuse of being busy with his acting if it was really needed....
He also wouldn't want to steal Jaebum's and Jinyoung's career, they were his future bandmates and friends.
If he goes in GOT7, in the beginning, he will probably outshine them, which could cause a lot of trouble. He would have already become a Hallyu star, one of the most famous actors. While they are just mere rookie idols.
It could cause a lot of backlash from his fans, and the fans of GOT7. They would probably say, "what is an actor doing as a singer", that he should just stick to acting.
They would be suprised that his talents are not limited to acting only, but to singing, rapping, playing instruments and dancing as well.
He would likely have to pass up on variety shows and the like, to let the other members establish their popularity.
But that, was all in the future.
He should focus on Dream High first.
