I saw the English TV series named Sherlock. In the 2nd Episode shown out was one man who had a crush on one of his companions, and in the scene he asked her out by using this expression, "I don't suppose that you like to go eating dinner together." When I saw that, a good idea came to my brain that because she said that she likes to drink I tried to go to drink together. I think that expression sounded really polite and not directly. I tried to use this expression when I texted her. But expectedly she didn't understand it, so I added one more, "If you don't mind, I want to go to drink to the bar." As I thought, I was not sure she accepted my suggestion. As you know that this situation with a man and a woman go to drink together at night seems like a date. I knew this and also she must have known this. By the way she answered okay straight away, without thinking for a while. I couldn't believe this situation happened to me. I was really happy. I asked my Canadian friend where the best bar near our school was and I found one.
So we went drinking to the bar. Every Wednesday I had a study group after class for 1 hour so I told her if she didn't mind how about she apply to join a study group too only one that day, and she just followed me. After study group finished, when we left from our school, we met our friends. They asked us where we were going as two of us, and when I saw her she looked at me with a perplexed look so I answered we were going to talk now. We cleared their doubts and passed through a crisis. I lied to my friends but it was really exciting.
She put down her passport at her homestay so we went to her house to get hers, then we went to drinking at the bar. The bar that my friend told me about was very cozy and had a good atmosphere, enough to feel something tense. At first I wanted to relieve her, I asked all about drinking such as how many times she went drinking in her country, how often she went to the bar, what kinds of drink she liked, how much she could drink, etc. I was shocked at her one answer that she didn't know her drinking limit and her drinking habit. So I spoke in fun why didn't she check both of them today when we were there together, and she answered okay, maybe in fun.
I wanted to ask her about many things, but one of my serious questions was why she always answered okay whenever I wanted to meet her. Sometimes she didn't think about it deeply with for a moment and just said yes. I was very curious of in her answer, and her answer made me amazed.
"If I don't like, I will not come together. That's because I like it," She said.
In that sentence what she said "I like" had a double meaning. One is "I like drinking" and the other is "I like you." I was confused about her answer. Not only for this one but after that she made me confused again. When we talked about our last partners in love, she said she was interested in me. Also there was no way to understand that in this sentence what she said "interested in" meant "interested in my story" or truly "interested in me." But in any case I was pleased that she had an interest in me or my story. By the way, I didn't know until now why she didn't talk about her last boyfriend.
