In Winnipeg there is an activity named Red River Mutual Trail. It is the activity to go ice-skating on the Red River about 5 kilometers. I wanted to be challenged to do it and on Sunday I tried to skate with my friends. Before that I made a plan to meet her near the red river skating, and I would go ice-skating until that time.
It was my first time skating. I had never used skates before, so I learned from my Canadian friends how to ice-skate. But as you know most sports depend on athletic nerves, and consequently I was not good at ice-skating. I skated those for two hours and I was very tired. However, the time was coming to meet her and I dropped out from a group of my friends. When I went out to meet her, she was looking around to find me. It looked lovely so I stared at what she was doing. In a few seconds she found me and she grumbled why I didn't come to her.
I asked what she would like to do. As she saw I was wearing those ice skates, she said she wanted to go ice-skating. In advance I told her I was not good at ice-skating but she said it was okay. I asked how many times she had tried them and she answered it was just the third time in her life. I was really worried about both of us being beginners, but we were going to try wearing ice skates. We went up on the river and went ice-skating.
The wind blew a little, but not too much cold. We went ice-skating following along the river. She didn't have a good balance, I was also not good at ice-skating. We relied on each other. In a moment she nearly fell down, I grabbed her arms. After that we went with holding each other's hands. While we went ice-skating We were surprised at being able to look under the river. The ice was thick but it was really transparent, and on the way there were many places where we could take a rest while ice-skating. When she sat on the bench the sunshine was behind her and she looked pretty. Her hands were so warm and I enjoyed that time when I was with her.
After ice-skating, we went to eat dinner at a restaurant. We ordered ribs and Salads. She didn't cut meats well so I taught her how to use forks and knives to cut meat. When I saw her and how she was eating she was shy from what I did. She asked me why I didn't keep eating and why I was looking at her. I said we could get many things from people's eating habits. For example how to smell a bottle of drink, how to eat something, how to cut, etc. She seemed she was interested in what I thought like this. After eating dinner we went drinking at the bar. In the bar they sold, by the peculiar ways, four kinds of beer put into small bottles. Their colours were red, orange, yellow, red-black. She was interested in them and we drank them slowly. When she drunk beer, the lights were dark and the place had a fragrance, we were falling into that romantic air.
