The roar of the flames filled the air. Crimson stained the night sky, leaving a glowing stain. Peering through the trees, you could barely make out the faint figure of a person, a child really, through the mass of burning trees. There is a river nearby, but it is useless for putting out this fire. The flame was mesmerizing, an eternal fire, a flame that will never be destroyed.
Two large wings made of the everlasting fire extended, flickering, from the child's back. It was like watching a phoenix go through rebirth, except far more violent. The fire surrounded the child, embracing her in their warmth.
Villagers screamed as they fled the scene, the burning village. They were desperate, as they should be, to escape from this brutal, primal, force of nature. The village, abandoned in the fire, burned, and the beautiful flames danced between the houses.
The silhouette of a gigantic city - a city of fire - towered above the village. It was like a mirage, but unlike a desert mirage, it was real, and the city can and will effect reality. The fiery city framed the child, and it presented to the world its sovereign, its monarch, its Queen.
The Ruler of the Heaven of Fire.
----------
Elders from the Water Sect and Flame Sect arrived.
Now, it must be known, that on the Element continent there are seven major sects - the Water, Flame, Wood, Fire, Metal, Yin, and Yang Sects. Besides these seven sects, there are also the two hidden sects - the Space and Time Sects. On the continent, many subsidiary sects also exist, as well as many small, local sects that dominate a town/city.
Usually, when an incident occurs, the sect(s) whose element they represent is involved in the incident send a team of Elders or disciples, or they assign one of their subsidiary sects to send a team of disciples to investigate the incident. The sect(s) of the element which restrains the element(s) involved in the incident also send a team of Elders or disciples.
The number of people sent and the level of the disciples' strength depends on how serious the sects believe an incident is and how much importance they place on the incident.
The fact that two teams of Elders were sent from the seven major sects shows that the sects believe the the child is a serious threat, and therefore they place great importance on restraining her.
The Elders brought chains made from Dark Silver, a material used to restrain the power of fire.
As they approached, they saw the child crouched on the ground, sobbing. The rage had dissipated from the child as she witnessed the only home she had ever known burning to the ground. Crystal like tears slowly fell on the burnt, hardened ground.
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Then, the Fire took over. It's inhumane rage filled the child, and the child began its rampage. Swords, spears, whips, and all sorts of weapons made of fire lashed out at the Elders. Nevertheless, the Elders ventured forwards, enduring the stinging pain and smelling their burning flesh.
Many of the Elders sent to capture the child died, leaving behind a charred corpse.
Eventually, the child was captured, wrapped up in chains of Dark Silver. Still, small flames clung to her skin, reluctant to be quenched by the metal.
She was transported to the cells of Draco, the prison for the evilest of criminals, like a sack of flour. The horrifying torture chambers in Draco will leave a mark on her, but she will emerge, stronger than ever.
And so, the true tale of Wu Xi, the Angel, the Demon, the Messenger of Death, the reincarnation of Heaven and its glory, the symbol of human nature, its effects, and the perfection we strive for, begins.
Yet, in the history books, some of them portray her as the brightest ray of light, the hope of humanity, and others as the personification of the deepest recesses of hell, but they will never begin with the truth, and instead, they will portray her as a sinner who destroyed her family, her sect, her school, with her own hands.
