"Sir! We have come back from reconnaissance. We bring you good news from our men in the village."
A warrior with long silver hair was calmly sipping tea while sitting on the trunk of a tree. He was wearing light red and white stripes clothes, with a small red star symbol on his left shoulder. A figure of a blazing fire could be seen in the right sleeve. A katana could be seen in the waist. It was a human with around thirty four years old approximately. His eyes fixed on the sunlight that could be seen between the trees.
"Come here. Sit down here for a moment."
"Yes sir!"
"Let me ask you an important question, soldier..."
*Gulp* The soldier was starting to sweat bullets. What if he answered wrong? Would he depart prematurely from this world because of a question? Terrifying! Truly terrifying.
"Can you see the sunset over in the horizon?"
Confused, the soldier looked at his superior. Was that really the question? It can't be something that ridiculous right? What was the right answer? No, because the sun is right up because it's noon? or Yes, because there could be a weird sense of concept that could comply that it was possible to see a sunset over a horizon? Which was the right answer!? The only logical conclusion the soldier could come up with was if he answered with a 'no', so he went with it.
"No, sir... it is noon time. The sun won't set until it's before night time..."
The soldier closed his eyes, prepared to receive any kind of punishment in case it was not the sort of answer the boss was looking for. After waiting for a moment... there was no response from the boss.
[Whew? Am I saved?]
"Wrong answer."
[Damn it!]
"A sunset in a horizon can be made right now... if we change our perspective. Angles, point of view, and location of the things, placed in a orderly fashion way, could produce many different kind of outcomes. Such is the way of war. There is no right or wrong in war, only perspective."
"Sir?"
"And it also applies to the news you bring to me. You consider them to be 'good' for us, but it may actually be 'bad' for us. It's best to use words... without adjectives. Remember that, soldier. Don't let your emotions and way of thinking things cloud your mind."
"Yes sir!"
"So? What is this good news you bring to me?"
*Cough* *cough*
[... I almost puked blood. Didn't you just say not to add adjectives to the words? What was that about perspective and crap?]
"Soldier?"
The silver haired warrior looked sternly towards the soldier. Apparently, he didn't take it well that the soldier coughed.
"Yes, sir. There is news that the new immigrant, intruder, of the village has been harassed by the villagers, taking all the brunt of blame. During the confrontation, The immigrant, Pen Who, escaped thanks to a villager blowing him away from the spot."
"I see... Luck is smiling upon us. Tell the others to prepare for a final assault against the Village of Siluca! Let's take this chance to pin all the blame towards this stranger and make a run for it. After we finish this mission... the Village of Siluca will be no more."
"Sir. I request pardon for what I am about to say... but... isn't it too early to finish the village off?"
"I have received news from Headquarters about a more pressing mater. Also... what could a mere village do against our Red Ember Kingdom?"
The silver haired warrior stood up and looked towards the direction of the village. A chill could be felt down the spine of the soldier.
"After you finish relaying my order to the others, I need you to send this letter back to the Capital."
A letter was quickly taken out from the belongings of the silver haired warrior, handing it to the soldier in a pristine way.
"Yes sir!"
"I expect great things from you, soldier."
"Thank you very much sir!"
Afterwards, the soldier ran to fulfill his order. The silver haired warrior closed his eyes and exhaled deeply...
"It's finally time for the climax... Village of Siluca. Don't blame me for what's going to happen. Blame it on yourself for not looking things at the correct perspective."
