The next day.
"Are you ready?" Ben Li asked Lu Qing to which she nodded eagerly.
Right now, she sat crossed legged before him and closes her eyes to concentrate. After which, she began to breathe in rhythmical patterns. Slowly inhaling and exhaling, feeling every fiber in her body pulsing and attempting to sense the Spiritual Energy around the area.
Ben Li was also sitting crossed legged before her. Watching her slowly bloom her potential as she takes her first step to become a Cultivator.
Ben Li has attained Soul Sense. Using his Supernatural Awareness, he is able to detect many changes happening around him within the limited range of 5-meter radius. Right now, he was focusing all his attention on Lu Qing. He sensed her emotions were stable, her breathing was beginning to take momentum and her body was starting to relax from muscle tension.
He waited for a minute and sensed no changes on Lu Qing's condition. This was a good sign for her and if she can maintain this state for even longer periods of time, then Cultivation will be relaxing experience for her.
He stood up quietly and walked away. He roamed around the village for about 15 minutes before coming back to see how Lu Qing was doing.
And he was impressed to see that Lu Qing had still maintained her current state perpetually for this long. If it was him, he would have already grown bored at the first 2 minutes in one sitting.
He arrived near her and waved his hand above her face, then he flicked his fingers near her ears once, twice, thrice, four times already and still, her face remained serene in tranquility. Undisturbed by everything else.
Ben Li got even more impressed how controlled her conditions are. If she stays this way under his guidance, then achieving Foundation Formation Realm won't be a problem for her. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. She still needs to unlock her Yin Gate first.
Currently, Lu Qing was trying her hardest sensing the Spiritual Energy around the area. But no matter how much she tried to concentrate, she couldn't sense anything out of the ordinary. But she didn't give up, she maintained her concentration for minutes while she felt her body pulsing with flesh and blood. Yet, she still has yet to sense Spiritual Energy.
Ben Li chuckled in his heart how she was getting serious. And thought of the ridiculous motivation that he had led her to this point.
'If I said you can do it, you can do it.'
Such were the simple motivating words that inspired her now.
In truth though, if she were to keep this kind of practice without further assistance, Ben Li had estimated that it will take about 3 weeks before she can sense Spiritual Energy and 2 more weeks before she can unlock her Yin Gate given the talent she possesses.
Although he can wait more than a month before she can get started, thinking about the amount of bullshit he spouted yesterday really puts a thorn in his heart if he left her like this.
Leaving her like this would be no different than scamming her.
Thus, it's time he made his move.
Ben Li took out the pitch-black rose from his storage ring and felt its cold touch in his hands.
After which, he absorbed a bit of Yin essence from it and isolate it inside 1 line of Meridians inside his Spiritual vessel.
The instant he put it there had made him feel the biting cold and the heavy chill that threatened to freeze him to death. Then his Unique Body Constitution began to take action in order to guard his vital points.
He processed the Yin Essence inside of him to remove its lethal properties until it was nothing more than a dark cold Yin essence for Lu Qing to absorb.
"Dont move." Ben Li then put his other hand over Lu Qing's navel and transferred the Yin essence over to her Dantian little by little.
Lu Qing suddenly felt a chill running down her spine. It felt like ice was suddenly piercing her stomach and turning upside down. But she endured it without moving and let it flow around her without resisting.
After a minute of putting the Yin essence in her Dantian, Ben Li had detected some changes inside her.
The essence wasn't running rampantly inside her due to Ben Li taking control, but it had somehow stimulated an effect inside her.
The Yin essence inside her began to transform, then it spread throughout her Meridians and Acupoints and filled them up to the brim.
Kacha! Kacha! Kacha!
The sound of Gates creaking open resounded inside Lu Qing's body, to which a cold aura began to gush out from her Pores.
Swoosh!
The aura of a One Gate Practitioner has been unleashed.
"Congratulations, Lu Qing." said Ben Li smiling. "You have unlocked your first Gate. How do you feel."
"Young master..." Lu Qing' s face made a troubled frown as her cheeks flushed red. "I feel a bit hot."
"That's normal." said Ben Li as he sensed her change of body temperature. "That's just the Yang inside you acting up to fight against Yin essence I transferred inside you. Don't let them fight. Control your Qi to have them negate the curbing. Have them flow in a circle inside your body and you should be able to unlock your Yang Gate in no time."
"Okay..." Lu Qing concentrated once again and tried to flow the Qi inside her body. At the same time, she began to feel a murky air brushing pass her skin. It didn't feel like the wind at all as it was stimulating her Pores and her body was struggling to suck it in as she breathes.
She realized this was the Spiritual Energy she was trying to sense out. Thus, she began to absorb them in order to facilitate her need of Qi.
Ben Li saw that she was starting to get the hang of the new sensations overwhelming her while her emotions were completely stable.
Ben Li nodded satisfied and left her like that as he stood up and walked away. Feeling very relieved that the starting phase of his plans had indeed met his expectations.
According to his calculations, if Lu Qing were to cultivate with the Yin Essence as a starting foundation, not only would she have smooth breakthroughs as she unlocks her Soft Gate, Heavy Gate, Dark Gate and Death Gate, she would also be able to maximize the Yin potential of her Qi and bring about an additional 50% prowess if she cultivated Yin-type Cultivation Arts and Techniques.
The reason why he gave her such a Yin-rich foundation was because Ben Li didn't have any Cultivation manuals to give her. The Helios Dragon sect didn't have any Yin-type Cultivation Arts and most of the Yin-type techniques they could procure weren't profound enough to establish a firm foundation for a Cultivation base.
However, there was no need for her to practice any Cultivation manual. Under Ben Li's guidance, achieving Foundation Formation Realm won't be a problem for her as long as she puts maximum effort in her progress. Only after reaching the next Realm would Ben Li give her a proper Cultivation manual completely suited for her constitution.
The only issue she has to confront is the fact that her Yang would rile up against her Yin foundations. She'll have hard time consolidating her Qi if she isn't able to harmonize the Yin and Yang inside her by the end of the day.
But luckily, where she is cultivating right now is right on top of the Dragon Vein point that is filled Draconian essence along with Yang-rich properties. If she were to cultivate there under the heat of the sun, she should be able to unlock her Yang Gate today.
Leaving her alone like that should help her concentrate more. So, Ben Li took his time and relaxed for a bit.
He went back to the building which they occupied and headed straight towards his room. He locked the door and took a seat in front of a desk table.
He took some paper and a brush pen from his storage ring and fell into contemplation before writing down his report.
Month of the Rabbit; Day 28
Subject: Investigation of the disconnected contacts between Whisker Village and Helios Dragon sect.
The first that I'd like to report is the situation that happened on the first day when I began my investigation.
The village was desolated of life with no people around when I probed into its vicinity.
A Large-scale Barrier Matrix had fully covered the whole village symmetrically without a single boundary unchecked. However, it was a Barrier design to keep what's contained in and anything that enters cannot breach out. I was able to breach out of the Barrier after using Barrier line diffusion spell imparted to me by the sect.
Moving on, when I probed even deeper into the village, the whole place was swarming with Lingering Resentments that loitered around the buildings and roads nearby. Indicating that too many mortals had died in the village to the point where it became a complete annihilation.
According to my investigations, the village was attack half a month ago which led to the compete massacre of the whole village's population as the attackers planned to tamper the village's Dragon Vein point with some unknown spell ritual to contain the amassed Corrupted Yin of the dying Village which afterwards, conjured a corrupted Yin storm that tore 1/3 of the village in the middle with its corrosion properties.
Eventually, the corrupted Yin storm died down as it had fully taken all the Lingering Resentments of the village and the Dragon Vein was then freed of all obstructions as it spreads the Draconian essence around the village.
I found no survivors and all the corpses had been gathered inside one building where they were left to rot in decay in the most satanic of ways.
I took my days here burying all the bodies in the graveyard with my trusted confidant, Lu Qing while investigating further anomalies of the village to no avail.
So far, I haven't been able to discover the cause of all these abnormalities whatsoever.
...
Killing intent shone from Ben Li's eyes as he recalled all the tragic memories belonging to the assaulted villagers 2 weeks ago.
In the middle of the night.
A short old man with a deeply wrinkled face came to the village for shelter.
He was welcomed. But shortly afterwards, the old man began attacking everyone with a poisonous Fog. He sent monsters to assault everyone the village. All the while erecting a large barrier and kept everyone from escaping.
It was straight out of a horror film. So many had died. Men, women, children, ranging from young to old, all of them weren't spared and those that surrendered for their lives were dragged into one building for the old man to conduct his experiments.
The old man didn't bother whether the one he conducted experiments was dead or alive. He dissected them, chopped them, hooked them, boiled them, and had somehow concocted Poison Pills using the children as ingredients.
It was horrible.
But what made Ben Li more enraged was that knew who the old man was.
Kun Gu, Grandmaster of Poisonmancy.
The one who attacked Lu Chong and Lu Qing by controlling monsters with Poison attributes.
Ben Li didn't forget to write the topic about his encounter with Kun Gu and wrote everything without leaving a single detail behind except that he omitted his encounter with Ran Ranxu and the awkward exchanged they had.
After writing down his report, Ben Li sighed as he stood up and stretched his back.
He walked towards the window and was shocked to discover that he had spent the rest of the day writing his report and was oblivious that the sun was about to set.
He was about to run his way to check on Lu Qing only to find later that someone had knocked his door.
"Young master, it's me. I'm done unlocking my Yang Gate."
Ben Li sighed in relief to hear her soft crispy voice.
Opening the door, he saw Lu Qing in a much different way.
No longer did she looked like a powerless frail mortal that will die with just flick from his fingers, but she even looked eye-catching with the aura of a two Gates Practitioner that's gushing out of her and even her demeanor seemed a little... Cold.
Lu Qing smiled at her young master as she bowed. She appeared very soaked in sweat with strands of her hair sticking and her robes drenched with her scent slightly permeating.
Ben Li nodded in satisfaction at her current progress. He whipped out a clean towel from his storage ring and passed it to her.
"Take this and go dry yourself before taking a bath. Then rest up for the night after taking dinner."
"I understand, young master." Lu Qing took the towel from him and turned back to leave. But she turned around again a while later and asked her young master with a mischievous smile on her face.
"Say, young master. You won't be peeking when I take my bath, right?"
Ben Li was taken aback by her question that seems almost like an invitation. But he shook his head and said plainly. "I won't peek when you bathe. I promise."
After that he slammed the door shut and didn't give her the chance to speak.
His body fell into the bed afterwards and felt the comfy mattress beneath his body.
"Little girl, you have a long way to go if you want to seduce me."
After that, he closed his eyes and thought of what dinner they were going to be having.
