Growing up, he had live a moderately crap life. But then who didn’t within the republic. He had fought and joined the army, bring honour to the republic. Of course, then his whole family got killed. Then he got killed. By a kid. With a gun. After that he got slapped by a deity and wacked inside a novel he had been reading.  

Was he the main character? 

Was he living a life of riches and joy?

Was he gifted cheats and powers beyond belief?

No. That was the simple answer. His life was shit, reincarnated into some minor antagonist.

And not even a minor antagonist that appears in the main storyline. 

No!

He was some crappy minor antagonist briefly mentioned in one of the main character’s backstories.

I mean thank god I’m not the protagonist, that sounds like way too much effort, but come on! Give me something at least! 

But no, even in this life Reshi, reborn as the disgraced noble Arthur Gravewalker would have to fight for everything. He would have to struggle and suffer and claw his way to strength, so that finally. He might actually be able to live in peace.
