Ever since 46 years ago, Gates started appearing all over the world, connecting the planet to interdimensional phenomena that plagued everyone's existence. Yet with it came opportunity - in the form of the familiar status window people used to imagine in fiction, with everyone being able to defend the world by accessing the window's mysterious properties to ascend themselves to combat the incoming threats. 

But of course, not everyone is born perfect. Wonplem Oling is probably one of the most unluckiest people to ever exist, and can't go a day without being bombarded with the most deadly of incidents to the point everyone avoids him for their own safety. While on a trip to visit his great-grandfather's grave in Seoul, a sudden update to the status window causes stirs worldwide... and perhaps gives him a chance to turn his horrible luck around.
