Welcome to Gametopia! Where all your dreams come true! The motto of the Megapolitan City of Gametopia had been the foundation for every member of the city except Paxton Zen. 
Why? Because he had faced nothing but hardships since he moved into the City with his family. 
His father, a former Pro Player, had been sentenced to death, and his mother was admitted into the Psychiatric Hospital for Mental Disability.  
He was later diagnosed with Hyperacusis, a rare hypersensitivity to sound, and it further isolated him from society. His life was made miserable by his relatives, who found nothing more pleasurable than making their nephew a living slave. 

But all that was about to change! At the age of Sixteen, he was diagnosed with the Server Link. A phenomenon where people are chosen by the Server to undergo the Test of Humanity to become Players, which is a special themed event where people create their Batle Characters after facing an ordeal. Battle Characters were their second form, their ego you could say. It was someone they could transform into when the face of reality became too harsh or when it was time to protect themselves.  

Players could call upon the storm, control living creatures, summon the might of the sun or even the art of a sculptor. Their abilities were limited by the Server which granted it to them, and their strength depended on how well they made use of these abilities. 

Players were allowed to take control of their lives as they gained extraordinary abilities that set them apart in society. 
With these abilities, he would find a way to get his mother sane and search for the reason for his father's execution, but even more, he would be able to protect himself and his loved ones from the Glitches. While facing the creatures of the Dark Web, a mythical force of chaos set on destroying the Earth, he learns to nurture his newfound power until he reaches the zenith.
