In this world after the apocalypse, where pipe guns, mana-powered rifles, battleships, and sky pirates roam, nothing is as it seems. Shadows fester with forces that sow hatred and madness, while alliances are fragile, and monsters wear the faces of men. Humans can be as monstrous as the beasts they fight, each drawn deeper into a war by unseen forces.

"For when ancient charters are broken and old rules abandoned, the line between hero and beast blurs. Salvation may lie only in ruin, for one alone may bridge the chasm between men and beasts. He comes from a distant land—unseen, unheard of by any in our realm. May Lord George bless us, amen." murmured the last leader of humanity with his dying breath.
