Ava Henshaw, voice has always been her escape. Growing up in Lagos State, Nigeria,she sang to drown out the poverty and hardship that sorrounded her. Now at 22, she is a local sensation but her dreams stretch beyond the shores of her homeland . When American Record label "Starlight Music" offers her a contract, Ava seizes the opportunity as this what she's been looking for to make her dreams a reality.
    In Los Angeles California, Ava's wide-eyed clashes with the harsh reality of the music industry,she thrust into a world of glamour and excess where her talent alone is not enough .
     Jung Jae-Hwan a Korean- American and one of Starlight biggest and successful stars becomes her unlikely mentor but his own creative well has run dry and Ava's passion and talent inspires him .
    As they work together, their mutual respect blossoms into an unforseen romance but their relationship faces challenges. Jae-Hwan management team and fans do not agree with the relationship between Ava and Jae-Hwan as they are skeptical about Ava's overnight success .
 Cultural differences and language barrier creates tension, Ava struggles to maintain her identity as a black woman, where her Nigerian roots are seen as " Exotic" but not " Marketable" .

   Meanwhile, Jae-Hwan is suffocating under the weight of his fame . His last album tanked and the pressure from his team to produce a hit is crushing his creativity but Ava's passion reminds him why he started singing in the first place.
  Together they face the darker sides of the industry, Ava confront the exploitation of African Artist  in the global market and Jae-Hwan battles his own demons including addiction and self- doubt .
