One fighter had reached the peak of martial arts and after knocking down his opponent his body starts to glow in front of broadcast cameras and the whole world which was watching the tournament which consisted of millions of fighters from the biggest fighting rings including ufc, boxing, underground fighting rings, and even trained military personnel. Everyone watched as his body glows and then a voice rang around the world: 

"Mortal has been found worthy of ascension... Earth now entering Phase 3: Ascension to Godhood" 

After that all electricity went out all over the world and guns and other electronics seemed to be worthless. instead every humans body filled with different types of magic and huge towers popped up all over earth with each tower having one ruler: A God or a Devil. Follow (name) who was an ex veteran with a crazy passion for power so that he will never have to see a loved one pass away in front of his eyes again.
