Everyone cheered in unison: Long live the Hero Hiraeth! We had all been through so much, lost so much in the last five years of holy war. 
We cried happily when Hiraeth raised the flag of the Holy Empire high and cut off the head of the last blue demon. 
"My sweet Sasha, tell me what we can still be in this terrible darkness." I never knew how to answer that, not even when I saw her being burned at that stake and crying out for forgiveness from the Mother Goddess of the citizens who once cried out to her. 
"You were the only one who could accept the demon I have now become, Hiraeth."
