A human soul is reborn and every time he dies, he will be reborn as the protagonist within a Universe. As the protagonist, the host is required to live his life to the fullest, and upon his death, he shall be sent to a new universe. 

The functions of the Protagonist System, a subset of the Gamer system are to grant skills and templates to the host and safeguard the mental defenses of the host.
