Nellie is nineteen years old and has spent most of her life in an institution for the mentally challenged. 

With an IQ score under 80, her doctors said that there is little to no chance for her to ever be reintegrated into society one day, especially since her parents have long given up on her.

But Nellie doesn’t mind at all. She loves being at the institution but what she loves more than anything is of course, Troy Allen.
