Lost souls, Witches and Demons. Creatures of evil and destruction. Bringer of plagues and blight. Wherever they go they left nothing but trails of blood so with such evil present, the world naturally prays for light. A light of hope to save them of such frights. 

And from that prayer came Soul reapers.  

People of extraordinary abilities. Combatants of evil and savior of humankind. With scythe’s that ward off evil, with scythe’s that cleanses one’s soul.  

Since the dawn of time these factions has been at odds of each other. Fighting a never-ending war.
