The Calamity. When Heaven Fell. The day God died... It had many names, but all them represented the same tragedy.

It started with the awakening of spirit energy on earth. People found themselves able to control the elements and more. As animals became stronger, those who had awakened took it upon themselves to protect the masses.

The people dubbed them 'demigods'. Their battles and adventures were like those of ancient past.

However, it all changed with the arrival of the Ashen. Their warships appeared in the sky, clouding the sun. Their bombardment shook the earth. They killed close to half a billion people in week. Our heroes seemingly powerless against them.

Not all was lost though, if there's one thing we humans are good at, it's war. And a war we gave them.
