Essencentes are people who have the power to connect to the essence of life and control them. Making them stronger or weaker, faster or slower, friendlier or more aggressive. They are a rare mutation of the human species. In the ancient days, they lived in secretly; hiding from the normal humans; who hunted them down. But as human civilization was developing into a modernised society, the essencentes started to live among the normal human but not using their powers. Slowly their stories started spreading and they became myths and legends for the human. But as they integrated their lives with the normal humans halflings were born. Now-a-days Halflings are mostly around. And pure blood essencentes families are like nobles 
even among the normal human. And now everyone is aware of the essencentes.
