New school, new me. School should be all about boys and parties and struggling to get good grades for a girl like Maya. 

In a whole different world to our own, but not too far away where people who find balance within themselves find power they had never imagined, Maya is about to find out that there's a lot more going on than just scandalous teenage antics. 

Teenagers are going missing without a trace. Literally. Only one person seems to know what's going on, but she's a mysterious, eccentric newcomer with a scary amount of eyeliner and a bad attitude, and she won't give out anything for free.

On top of all that, Maya can't seem to understand why she herself doesn't have any powers. Will this be helpful or a hindrance?
