In a scarred world there lives a boy.
A scarred child seen as merely a toy.
All that cared for him died.
But he went to help, he really tried.

Once a scarred child now just empty.
He lives on promise alone, and that is plenty.
Comfort and fulfillment are his drive.
Nothing in the way of that can possibly survive.

To journey beyond in this new world.
Chaos his simple actions herald.
A war beyond comprehension.
A man without apprehension.

A sociopath acts solely within their own interests. But if a sociopath believed that empathy was the path to contentment then wouldn’t that make them less of a sociopath? No it wouldn’t, but it would make one more morally solvent. If one believes that an emotional bond is true happiness then they’d strive to form one. If a sociopath felt the same way, they’d search endlessly for something they felt anything for, and care for it like nothing else.
