Then, I delve into the characters' inner worlds, depicting their psychological changes when confronted with horror, so that readers can truly empathize with the characters' fear and despair. And at appropriate times, I slow down the pace, giving readers a brief moment of respite while inadvertently planting new foreshadows to prepare for the next onslaught of fear.
