But more than just a game, it becomes the ultimate stage for global esports. Elite teams rise, billion-dollar prize pools emerge, and the entire world is swept into the frenzy. Society collapses, replaced by a brutal new order where a person’s rank in "Glory Lords: Arcane War" determines their status in real life. The strongest players become kings. The weakest? Slaves. And the one who won the Stone of Glory—Griffin Musk—rises to absolute power, ruling over this new world as its supreme leader. As for Ethan? Once the #1 player in the world, he loses everything—his account, his status, his freedom. Reduced to the lowest class, he suffers, tortured until his final breath. But now—he’s back. Reborn with the memories of his past life, he returns to the moment it all began. This time, he wins the gamble. This time, he won’t let the world fall into Griffin’s hands. But fate has more in store for him… When he logs into the game, he realizes something is off. With growth potential and combat abilities surpassing even top-tier players, they have the power to change the course of the entire game. At that moment, Ethan knows—his path to the top has begun. But the real world isn’t done with him yet. Governments, military forces, corporate giants, secret organizations—and even Griffin himself—are now watching his every move. Ian Mystic System

"You're back!" Elara sprang from the wooden bench near the door as her brother stepped inside, bruised and bleeding. "Caelum, what happened this time?" she gasped, rushing to his side. Caelum Solis, a lean young man with tousled brown hair and piercing blue eyes, winced as he slumped into a chair. "Nothing new. Just a couple of thugs who wanted my coin more than I did," he muttered. They lived alone—just the two of them. He was all she had left, and she was the reason he kept going. Though he’d trained enough to pass the Guild’s physicals, his damaged mana core had left him stranded at F-rank, doing odd jobs no real adventurer wanted. Finding lost pets. Cleaning stables. Picking herbs. Barely scraping by. Elara, though gifted, suffered from a mana sickness that slowly stole her sight. Her treatment was expensive, and Caelum pushed himself to the brink just to afford the basics. Still, it was never enough. That night, as he tucked her into bed, he whispered, “Tomorrow, I’ll change everything.” --- At the edge of a newly discovered dungeon, Caelum stood behind a party of stronger adventurers. They snickered. “Dead weight’s here,” one said under his breath. He ignored them. He always did. Darius Flint, the B-ranked leader, raised a hand. “Standard sweep. It’s marked D-rank, but stay alert.” They entered the cave-like dungeon, and at first, everything was simple. Feral goblins. Weak beasts. The team barely broke a sweat. Caelum trailed behind, hauling gear. Only one person treated him kindly—Arianne Vale, a C-ranked healer with silver hair and a sharp tongue for bullies. Hours passed. Then the dungeon began to tremble. “Is it collapsing?” someone asked. “No... it’s shifting,” Darius muttered. “Stay close.” Then came the roar—deep, guttural, wrong. Darius's face paled. “Retreat! Everyone fall back!” But the floor gave way. They dropped into a massive chamber ringed with statues holding weapons. In the center, blazing with living fire, was the Pyroclasm—a beast of flame and fury. People panicked. Two adventurers made a break for the exit and were instantly decapitated by the animated statues. “Form a circle!” Darius barked, but chaos had already taken hold. A statue lunged. Caelum grabbed Arianne and dove aside. “Behind us!” he shouted. Adventurers were being cut down left and right. Desperate, Caelum yelled, “Run toward the Pyroclasm!” “Are you insane?” someone cried. “We’ll die either way!” Dragging Arianne, he sprinted forward. The Pyroclasm shrieked and surged toward him—then vanished into him. Caelum screamed as fire tore through his veins. His body writhed, burning... then exploded in a shockwave. The statues faltered. “Flame adaptation: mastered.” He rose. Flames clung to him like armor. Statues charged. He raised his hand—and fire answered. Explosions. Destruction. “Golems destroyed. Leveling up.” As silence fell, he collapsed, still smoldering. “Heal him!” Darius shouted. Arianne was already by his side.

War of the Gods: Xander's Story

Xander—sometimes Xerena—isn’t your typical fae. Born of Spring Courts seduction and Winter Courts shadows, they’re a shapeshifter with only four forms: male, female, wolf, and doe. Limited? Maybe. Dangerous? Absolutely. With a heritage steeped in elemental ice and fae illusion, and a gender that shifts as fluidly as their magic, Xander has always lived between worlds. But in a reality where all mythologies are real, “between” isn’t safe anymore. The gods have declared war on mortals. Not just humans—anyone who isn’t divine. Vampires, werewolves, fae: are all targets in a global genocide fueled by divine pride and ancient grudges. ~ Hello everyone This is a story that has been rattling around in my head for the last couple of years. I have been contemplating writing it for awhile now, but as I have no experience in creative writing I was a touch nervous. Now I decided to "bite the bullet" and put out a chapter to see if how it is received. I would like opinions and critiques, so I can get better at writing. Due to not having the money to hire an editor I decided to use Chatgpt to assist in editing my writing to look for spelling and punctuation errors. If you see any glaring issues please let me know, I have never been great at editing. I haven't decided on an upload schedule yet, but I will play it by ear. I want to make this story as good as I possibly can so if I have to take extra time to rewrite chapters to make sure they fit my style of writing and make sure there are no errors I will do so. If I decide to keep this going this story will likely end up turning into a series of 6 books following the "commanders" of the mortal army. I have the first 3 completely planned out on many sticky notes so it's just a matter of writing it all. Anyway I hope you enjoy Thanks ~ Stryx

Mystic Conflict

"You disappoint me Storm Maker" said the Dark Sorceress before he commanded his monster army to attack. Afini readied his axe for battle with lightning beginning to flow out of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well done Storm Maker and Sorceress, you've managed to defeat every single one of my monsters" said the Dark Sorcerer. "We've won this battle sorcerer now leave this place before we end you once and for all" said Afini. The Dark Sorcerer then busted into laughter upon hearing what Afini said. "You actually think you've won" said the Dark Sorcerer. "Look around you Sorcerer, your army of monsters are defeated, struck down by my lightning" said Afini pointing at the monsters that lied on the ground, beaten and defeated. The Dark Sorcerer then smiled before saying, "the illusion of victory is what blinds many warriors and makes them believe the battle is over and they've won when it's only just began". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "AFINI!!!!!!!" screamed Alaelra as she watched the wave hit him. Afini screamed in tremendous pain as the dark magic hit him. He then fell down to the ground feeling nothing but pain flow through his entire body. Alaelra then rushed to his aid. "Oh Afini" said Alaelra with tears falling down from her eyes. She held tightly, not wanting to let go him. "A-Alaelra" said Afini weakly. "I love..." Afini could not even complete his sentence before he closed his.
