The probability of his birth was exceedingly rare.
It is a fundamental impossibility for humans and Wraiths to procreate.
Nevertheless, Zane was born.
Growing up in a frigid city under the name Zane Carter, he exists as though a phantom, overlooked, unloved, and disregarded. However, as the boundaries between his human intellect and Wraith instincts begin to dissolve, an ancient power stirs within him.
He is neither human.
Nor is he a Wraith.
He is an anomaly within reality. The first of his kind. A Nullborn.
As monstrous Wraiths evolve and hunt from the shadows, and clandestine military endeavors emerge to combat them, Zane's very existence becomes the catalyst for conflict. He will either be utilized as a weapon... or become the cause of their demise.
With each transformation, he relinquishes a portion of his humanity—emotions diminishing, memories distorted—but one aspect persists:
