Hence, through their deceitful ways, they convinced the greatest and most powerful among all the gods, the god of creation himself, and banded together. Since he was a godly being and an immortal, killing him wasn't an option. Hence, they stripped him of his immortality, sending him into the realm of humans, such that he could be killed by them.
