From name-calling to accidental letters leading to further misconception. During his absence, Angelica played the dutiful wife, sacrificing to maintain the household, being the lovely princess and wonderful daughter in law, only to face his return with another woman whom the entire kingdom agreed was more beautiful than she was! Will she divorce or fight for his love, a love that clearly never existed in the first place? Will she clear the misunderstandings and surmount the obstacles or will it be a post-marriage love story or an ex-wife tale full of regret? Excerpt |||| "My princess..." called a maid, knocking on the door her hand trembling. "Come in." replied Angelica as the door opened hearing footsteps approaching. "What are you doing here? I gave stern orders for no one to disturb me for the entirety of the day." her austere voice rang out. "I... I know my princess... please forgive me... I... I did not mean to disturb you but... this is something very important." "Let's have it then." replied Angelica closing the book she had been reading as she laid eyes on the maid. The maid gulped, the fear evident in her eyes, she did not know how Angelica would react to the severely bad news she had brought with her, however, one thing was sure, Angelica would not react lightly at all. "My... m...y prince...ss the..." said the maid, causing Angelica to sigh in annoyance, rolling her eyes, she had better things to do than sit here listening to the maid's mumbling. "Yes, say it." said Angelica giving the maid a hand. "My princess, the crowned prince has returned." said the maid. "Oh... well that's nice... I guess I will see him later, or better yet tomorrow. There is no rush, I am sure he is swarmed by crowds at the moment." replied Angelica lazily, she really had no intention of moving from this spot. "But my princess... ther— " "Oh, you're right, it would be unacceptable if I did not come out to greet him, rumours would certainly ensue and the kingdom would be in serious hysteria as they always are." replied Angelica annoyed. "Yes, you are right, I should go and welcome him back home." said Angelica as she stood up and yawned. "My princess... that is not all, there is something else..." said the maid. "And what is that?" asked Angelica as the maid's eyes darted around the room, she did not know what to do, or how best to put this. "My princess... the... the crowned prince has truly returned but..." said the maid with a prolonged pause. "But what?" asked Angelica, her senses tingling, she had a inking that there was something wrong from the maid's strange behaviour. "But his highness..." paused the maid. "Out with it now!" said Angelica sternly. "His highness has returned with a strange woman and the rumours claim that she is his new wife!" spat out the maid as Angelica suddenly felt lightheaded and she fell back down on the chair. "My princess!" cried the maid as she rushed to her. "This is some sort of farce." said Angelica as the maid proceeded quickly to fan her with a cloth. "No my princess... it is true." replied the maid. "This is impossible. Ian must be mad, I am going to see this display of stupidity for myself!" said Angelica hotly, quickly rising up and storming out of the room as the poor maid followed behind her. ||||

Trapped with the Billionaire

Blurb: The elevator’s lights flickered once—then twice—before everything went pitch black. A sharp metallic screech echoed as the car jerked violently, sending Mia tumbling to the floor, her breath catching in her chest. She barely had time to process what was happening before a deep, commanding voice cut through the darkness. "Stay down." Mia’s heart skipped a beat as she looked up to find herself face-to-face with the last person she ever expected to see: Elijah Blackwell, the enigmatic and ruthless billionaire CEO of Blackwell Enterprises. Cold, calculating, and untouchable, he was a man whose name commanded fear and respect. But there was no time for awe. The building’s alarms screamed in the distance, but it was the deafening thud of distant explosions that stole Mia’s attention. Her pulse shot into overdrive. The elevator began to tremble again, its descent rapid and uncontrollable, as if the very foundation of the tower were coming undone. “What’s happening?” she whispered, her voice strained. Elijah’s eyes, glinting even in the faint emergency lighting, met hers—dark, intense, and utterly unshaken. “We’re under attack. Stay close,” he said, the command in his voice unmistakable. Mia’s stomach dropped. Under attack? By whom? And why her? She was just a cleaner. But before she could question him further, the elevator lurched again, the cables creaking as they hurtled downward. Every second felt like an eternity, but Elijah stood still, his expression as unreadable as ever. This wasn’t fear in his eyes—it was something far more dangerous: control. As the elevator plummeted, Mia’s thoughts spiraled into chaos. She’d only come to work this morning to do her usual rounds, expecting nothing more than a monotonous day of dusting and cleaning up after the high-powered men and women who owned the building. But now, she was trapped in an elevator with the very man who controlled this empire—facing a threat she couldn’t even comprehend. A sudden burst of heat shot through the small space as another explosion rocked the building, shaking the walls. The emergency lights blinked erratically, casting eerie shadows over them. In that moment, Mia realized something unsettling: Elijah wasn’t just the billionaire CEO. He was the only person who could protect her now. But how far was he willing to go to keep them both alive? And more importantly, why did she suddenly feel drawn to him in ways she couldn’t explain? The air between them grew heavy with an attraction neither of them could ignore, but was it a dangerous distraction—one that could cost them both everything?

Making fire

Life was tiring, I wanted so much to be free of everyone. I wanted to hold on to what little happiness I remembered walking through the woods. The feel of the crisp air when the sun broke into dawn, the way I felt the trees come alive as I wondered through them, how quiet everything was. But now I’m married. To the most unpredictable man I had ever encountered. But there is something about him. The way he moves, eyes sharp and narrowed watching my every step. I always felt as if he were hunting me, and maybe he was. I could never get away from those peering eyes long enough to enjoy a moment to myself. He was always there, around every plan of escape, every thought of silence, every time I even thought of a life away from him. No doubt due to the binding ceremony that was performed. The only request I had about the ceremony was that it needed to be performed by a priestess but my father wanted HIS personal witch to bind Tristan and I. Once my father ordered you to do something ‘not one person disagreed’. I did not mean to think so ill of her but I can not help this feeling that she may have added a little spell to the ceremony. If I could only speak to her, I have not seen her since I left my brute of a fathers home. I could always ask Sheri-Tristan’s second wife. Yes. I’m the third wife of this man I call husband. But Sheri was witch born before being turned by Tristan. She had the most beautiful violet hair and matching eyes. Where as I had bright auburn air with green eyes, the only thing I kept of my mother. Sheri could help me find out if I am under some spell so I can get Tristan out of my head long enough to leave his kingdom. She hated me so, I believe it is due to Tristan not informing both of his wives that a third was going to be arriving. And that was me. If I was going to ask her for help it had to be now, I have my awakening ceremony tonight. It will mark 3 months since our wedding and as accustomed with Tristan and his coven, 90 days was the mark a bride had to wait to be judged by the collective to be accepted. Tristan assures me that I will be accepted and he will turn me tonight in the hues of the blood moon that was to be eclipsed. I did not want to be turned. I was human. If I was turned I’d loose my humanity and become full vampire. The same thing happened to Ava-Tirstan’s fist wife. She could not handle the lust and killed a few members of court. Some human but some halflings like Sheri. I did not want to kill. I shuttered at the thought of taking the life essence of another living being. I did not want to live in this manner. I only pray that Sheri is in a favorable mood this afternoon. Here I stand, outside her door. I had been standing here for about 10 minutes. I needed every help I could to escape my marriage. Yet, knocking on her door was the most exhausting thing I have been doing since I arrived here 3 months ago. “Here goes nothing.” I said out loud as I finally knocked. “Entrer” She was quite demure when she’s not in a mood. I might have a chance of gaining her help after all. One look my way and her mood was already changing. “YOU!” —maybe not………….

Forest Cultivator

In a world where power ruled and trust was a blade waiting to strike, Lu Yan walked alone. Not out of fear, not out of weakness, but because solitude had always been his greatest strength. As a plant summoner, the earth itself bowed to him. Forests obeyed his whispers, roots coiled at his command, and even the wildest of flora bent to his will. There was no need for allies—until he met them. Fan Zhi. Lila. Jian Mo. The strongest of the strong. A warrior whose blade could cleave mountains, a magician who wove destruction with a flick of her fingers, and his most trusted—his shadow—Jian Mo. Not a friend, not family, but the one person Lu Yan had allowed closest. Their strength was undeniable. Their presence, unavoidable. And so, for the first time, Lu Yan walked beside others. Together, they ventured into the final dungeon, an ancient ruin pulsing with power long lost to time. Every step deeper tested their skill, their will, their loyalty. They bled together, fought together, survived together. Or so he thought. The betrayal wasn’t reckless. It wasn’t obvious. It was precise, patient—rooted in greed, waiting for the perfect moment to surface. Every look, every word, every shared battle had been a thread in their web. They had studied him, learned the way he thought, anticipated his every move. They knew his strengths, but more importantly, they knew the weaknesses even he had overlooked. So when the final trial came, when the dungeon itself trembled with the weight of the power they had sought, the trap was already set. The air was thick with heat, the walls licked with molten fury, the ground unstable beneath their feet. And then, Jian Mo struck first. A blade—not of steel, but of something darker, something ancient—sank into Lu Yan’s back. A paralyzing force surged through him, seizing control of his body, locking his power away in an instant. The one person he had trusted most had known exactly how to sever him from his strength. Fan Zhi’s sword followed, slicing deep. Lila’s magic wrapped around him like a serpent, binding him in chains of searing energy. They had calculated every detail. No dramatic speeches, no arrogance—just cold, efficient betrayal. And then, without hesitation, they cast him into the abyss. The last thing he thought about was Jian Mo’s face, expression unreadable as the molten depths swallowed him whole. Pain. Fire that melted flesh, burned bone, and tore through his very essence. For the first time, Lu Yan truly knew what it meant to die. But fate was not done with him. In the heart of the inferno, something stirred. A force beyond comprehension. A power that did not belong to this world. The fire did not destroy him—it remade him. The pain became something else. Something worse. Something greater. Then, darkness. When Lu Yan awoke, it was not to fire, nor stone, nor the ruins of the dungeon. It was to a world reborn. The sky above him was a fractured canvas of impossible colors, shifting and writhing like a living thing. The air was thick, charged with an energy that thrummed beneath his skin. And all around him, the earth pulsed—not as he had once commanded it, but as something wild, untamed, ancient beyond reason. The plants here were not mere tools of a summoner’s will. They were alive in ways he had never imagined. And they watched him. He was no longer the betrayed summoner. He was something else. Something far greater. As he stood amidst the endless forest, his body still echoing with the power that had saved him, one thought burned brighter than all the rest: if fate brought me here I would master it all. The winds whispered his name. The trees bent, waiting. The Life begins with a seed --- .... (Hello Author here, I'm open for any suggestions)

WHISPERS OF FIRE

Whispers of Fire – Synopsis In the kingdom of Solaria, fire is feared and forbidden, its destructive power outlawed after an ancient war nearly destroyed the realm. Eira Solren, a quiet village healer, harbors a dangerous secret: she can wield fire. When an accidental display of her abilities during the annual Burning Festival exposes her, Eira was arrested by the queen’s soldiers and brought to the capital. Queen Lenoria Vale, a cunning and ruthless ruler, sees Eira not as a threat but as a tool to further her dark ambitions. The queen seeks to awaken a dormant fire elemental, an ancient force of destruction, intends to use Eira’s rare connection to fire to control it. But before she can be manipulated, Eira is rescued by Kael Rhyder, a rogue mercenary with his own shadowy ties to the queen. Kael delivers Eira to a rebel faction led by the charismatic yet enigmatic Aedric Stormfell. If unleashed, the elemental could destroy not only Solaria but the surrounding kingdoms as well. The rebels prepare for an all-out assault on the capital, but divisions within their ranks threaten their mission. Aedric’s betrayal is revealed when he attempts to use Eira’s power for his own purposes, forcing her to rely solely on Kael. As the queen’s forces close in, Eira begins to embrace the Whispering Flame fully, unlocking powers far beyond her imagination. But the Flame has a price, and Eira must decide how much of herself she is willing to sacrifice to save the kingdom. Eira faces the queen and the unleashed elemental, drawing upon every ounce of strength and courage to turn the destructive force into one of hope. In the process, Kael sacrifices himself to protect her, revealing his love for her in his final moments.
