Her editor asked in genuine surprise as he watched the scene before him. It seemed like an hour had passed since Bryan went on his knees, but it had only been a minute. Bryan knew no lady would be crazy enough to accept such a crazy proposal, and even if any were, paying her off and calling off the whole thing would be easy since all he wanted was the scandal that could come from this. The headlines were either going to be about his rejected Marriage proposal or his supposed engagement, which would be enough to let Sophia off the hook. "Yes!" Sonia said as she bobbed her head excitedly and extended her finger for him to wear her the ring. "Yes?" Bryan asked in confusion when he heard her response. "Yes! I will be your wife and make you the happiest man in the world!" Sonia said with a giggle and wiggled her fingers until Bryan slid the ring down her finger. Surprisingly the ring was her exact size, and it sat on her finger like it was made just for her. The sound of applause erupted all around them as Sonia stood up with a big smile on her face and embraced Bryan before kissing him right on the lips. Bryan was slightly taken aback by her boldness but quickly recovered since this was his game, and he had to play along. He was the one who had approached her first, after all. So when she tried to break the kiss, he held her chin and slowly nibbled on her lower lip before parting her lips with his tongue and sucked on it in a teasing manner, eliciting a moan from Sonia. Sonia felt light-headed. This was too good to be true. It just had to be a dream. How else could she explain that one moment she was seated at the lobby of a hotel waiting for her editor, and the next she was engaged to her celebrity crush and was kissing him right here in the open? It was indeed her. “How?” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “I don’t remember any of this.” “It was a wild night,” he said softly. Perhaps she had married Blake because he was wealthy. That would be the only logical reason for her to make such a blunder. There was hope, she thought, as she clung to the possibility of salvaging something from this disaster. Turning to him, she forced a smile, “Is this your house? Are we in your house?” She asked, looking around the bedroom. Blake shook his head, “No. This is a hotel,” he said, and she nodded. “I see. It looks like quite an expensive hotel,” she observed, “What do you do for a living?” she asked, trying to keep her voice steady as she searched his eyes for any hint of affluence. Blake hesitated, his confident demeanor faltering for the first time. He looked away, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m... in between jobs,” he stuttered, avoiding her gaze. Delilah’s heart sank, disappointment crashing over her like a wave. “In between jobs?” she echoed, her voice tinged with disbelief. Blake seemed to sense her dismay. “I know it doesn’t sound great,” he said quickly, trying to reassure her. “But I’m working on a few things. I just need a little more time.” “You’re jobless,” she muttered to herself as reality sunk in. “How did you pay for this room? For the wedding bands?” She asked, and he winced. “I didn’t. I was crystal sure that I wont be given the opportunity to work in this company even if I do my best and pass the interview , because turns out the man I abused falsely, provoked and argued with this morning before the interview that my dad forced me to go ,, is the CEO of the same company! So thinking of it.. I can as well annoy him more and go because no matter what.. I won't get this job!! But I got it anyway,,

We’ve all read love stories. Heck, we all wished we could live in a love story. These beautiful literatures of romance have always had a certain defined flow to them that we’ve become accustomed to, a flow that rattles the kaleidoscope of butterflies within our stomachs.. There is always a meeting, gentle and warm… the falling in love, fiery and exciting.. the falling out of love, sad and heart wrenching… and the happily ever after, beautiful and seemingly forever… Oh how we love the beautiful things romance stories being us; the first kiss, the first ‘I love you’ and not to mention, the ‘forever’… But what about the events that come after that? What about the post ‘happily ever after’ struggles that people in love face but never speak of? What about the loneliness, the doubt, the lies, the boredom… …the possibility of INFIDELITY…. This is an internal monologue of a story, narrated from the perspective of a man struggling with the challenges a failing marriage brings with it, and of course, also told from the perspective.. of HER.

Long time ago, God was lonely. He sat alone in an empty house high above tending to the matters of the; heavens, earth and the underworld. One day he as he was working, a stray cat appeared. The cat pitied God seeing that he was all alone and decided to stay. Soon, God had an idea. He decided to throw a banquet and invite the creatures of earth. He wrote letters and scattered them from his window. Alas, only twelve animals honored the invitation; the rat, the ox, the tiger, the rabbit, the dragon, the snake, the horse, the sheep, the monkey, the rooster, the dog and the pig. Feeling very excited God decided to gift each animal handsomely. To some he gave wealth, to others wisdom and good fortune but when it came to the snake, he made him immortal because he was such a beautiful creature. All animals returned back to their abodes but it became a tradition to visit God yearly. Year after year, decade after decade, all the animals began to die one after the other except the snake. Soon he was the only one remaining of the thirteen. God noticed his suffering but unfortunately didn't know how to take back the gift decided to add another gift to at least ease his suffering; giving him the chance to take up human form as long as he didn't come in contact with a female being or exerts too much of his energy. Thus the snake made his way to dwell with the humans as a hermit ever young and ever lonely. He still visited God yearly as he was God's only companion now. Unfortunately, he fell in love with a human female child. What would he do? What would become the fate of the snake?
