In the twisting shadows of Aleric's early life, he learned that the world thrived on betrayal and bloodshed. Orphaned at six, sold into a cult where kindness was an alien concept, he was molded into a weapon—a perfect blend of dagger and deception. By the time he was eight, he had already become a killer. One could almost hear the chuckles of fate, as if the universe had taken an ironic pleasure in sculpting a child into a husk of darkness.
Fast forward a decade and some change, and our not-so-innocent child of shadows survived the cult’s glorious self-destruction, intended as his proverbial sacrifice. Congratulations, Aleric—welcome to a new world, where instead of twisted sorcerers and ritualistic lunatics, you get to deal with elves who think they’re superior, dwarves hoarding treasures like they’re going out of style, and orcs whose interest in personal hygiene could use a sharp lesson—or an entire course, really. And let’s not forget the expectations of the divine beings that he has somehow caught the attention of.
But hey, at least he has a surprisingly supportive family who, despite their noble status, accept his desire to just be a simple adventurer. With a harem. And divine complica—I mean, support...
