Last Starborn
Over time, magic falls to the corruption of emotions. Only Starborn Unicorns can use the complex cleansing magics to fix it.
Ash is the last of her kind, holding the burden alone and she is breaking under its strain.
The gods that would have helped her carry the burden have been cut off from the world. Unless something changes, she’ll die during the next cleansing.
Desperate to save not just her, but a world that they cherish, the gods strike a deal. Without them, a new god has been born into the world they can no longer touch. He isn’t as restricted as them, can interfere to a small degree.
A deal is made, he will forge a connection between two worlds, give them an opportunity to find a way to buy more time. In exchange, he seeks to strengthen himself and join their pantheon in full.
As the god of wealth, connections, and entertainment he’ll use the link to let those of the dying world experience something new, hoping to gain worship.
They’ll use it to try to save the dying world and, perhaps, keep the other from making the same mistakes.
Under the guise of a game named Fantastoria, they connect the worlds. Ash is given a chance to live in that world while her body sleeps in her own. She’ll help tie the worlds together because they will either thrive together or fall alone.
