Transhumanism

Evil's Apprentice

It was the year 2154 when the so-called ‘Treaty of Eternal Peace’ was put forward into motion by the United Nations with the backing of all 8 major world powers of the time. The amendment unified the fragmented nations of Earth into a planetwide federation. What followed was a full decade of strife and cold conflict. In the year 2168, the last sovereign nation on the planet succumbed to the pressure of the treaty under the angry voices of its citizens. In the following years, the Federation of Man was formed and at last, world peace was achieved. The world ushered under two centuries of peace. It was the 24th century, science and technology had prospered and the Federation of Man was already a Type-2 Civilization with boundless resources. Venus, Mars and the various moons of the gas giants were terraformed while the Asteroid Belt and the gas giants themselves were mined for an unending supply of resources. With the freedom and comfort guaranteed by unrestricted space travel and A.I.- the Transhumans, having long since transcended their original human ancestors lived boring, leisurely lives. Their only concern- entertainment which could last. To fulfil the entertainment needs- art, literature, music and games attained new never before seen heights. The Federation of Man entered an age which they dubbed ‘The Second Renaissance’. It’s finally the year 2396 and the game ‘World Bender’ is counting down to its much-awaited launch. Having been under constant development for almost 20 years, the game had gained system-wide popularity to the extent that its fame reached even the remote colonies in the nearby star systems. The hype is at its all-time high. As the most anticipated VRMMORPG of the century, the game supports a world twice the size of Earth, promising to provide to the bored Transhumans, decades of entertainment! Meanwhile, on Mars, in the leisure district of Ipsum. A young man with a plan and nothing better to do awaits with an exasperated face, as the countdown to the game launch trickles down to zero. Just a year ago, in a drunken frenzy, he had bet on his life that he would bring the game world to ruins in 10 years.

Aetherbound: Symphony of Steel and Spirit

In the fractured world of Aetheria, where Eastern cultivation collides with Western technomancy, 17-year-old Aiden Lin survives as a gutter rat in the steampunk slums of Anvil City. His life shatters when a brawl in an underground fight club awakens a forbidden inheritance: the Aetheric Crucible, a hybrid energy system fusing his mother’s spiritual meridians with his father’s quantum-alchemy research. Now hunted by both the Azure Peak Sect (who brand him a "pollution of Dao") and the Arcanum Parliament (who seek to dissect his biomechanical blood), Aiden discovers he is the living key to the Xuantian Mirror—an artifact that can rewrite reality itself. With the help of a rogue cultivator Ling Shuang (who wields a sword forged from orbital titanium) and a disgraced techno-shaman Lily (whose AI familiar speaks in hexagrams), Aiden navigates a world where alchemy is coded in Python and demonic tribulations manifest as data corruption. As they race to recover his parents’ lost research on "Aether-Mana Fusion," they uncover a conspiracy by the Church of Singularity—a cult merging Eastern soul-refining with Western transhumanism to devour all dimensions. From dragon-infested data centers beneath neon-lit pagodas to floating monasteries powered by stolen nuclear cores, Aiden must balance his dual heritage before the Chaos Engine erases the boundary between magic and physics. But when the Mirror reveals his future self leading the apocalypse, the ultimate battle becomes a war against destiny—and the cost of survival may require sacrificing the sister he swore to protect.

The Once and Forsaken Osz

Most who are children of the Once and Forsaken Osz, do not realize it nor are they supposed to. While the rise and domination of Osz was so long ago that no one knows its origin, this story is about one of Osz’s children who finds the path usually reserved for those on the outside. Many want to get in to attain a portion of the power Osz allots to those who walk its path. Opposition of Osz is impossible. The arrival of Osz is the herald of destruction of ones reality. There is no chance to oppose the desolation save for the chance given to walk the path. While many Planes Walkers only see the golden path, leading ever higher. A few walk the low road through primeval darkness beyond the known and finite. These few people who go where no one else would are called Void Walkers. They are masters of nothing. They have power over nothing. They are nothing. As such all those who are not them, fear them. ——— This is a story about someone so insignificant that it was as if they didn’t exist. This entity though was never insignificant, just unformed. This is the story of his journey from nothing, through nothingness, and into something prolific. This is a vast multiverse spanning multiple realities, although all realities are one. He is someone who will walk through the Void between realities, down into the deepest depths of where things were left to be forgotten and rot, and back up and through the City of Osz, and perhaps someday beyond even that. If you are a fan of the singularity, transhumanism, and artificial intelligence all explored through different fantasy realities and perhaps one day beyond into the science fiction or at least the science fantasy that underlies it all, then come join us! ——— My goal is to publish a chapter a day, but that’s only possible with your encouragement. Please comment and vote with your stones!
