The Red Machine
When an alien shapeshifter crashes on Xindyria, she has little idea what to expect. Although she and her people revere humans, she has never met any face-to-face until now. After she wakes up in a laboratory with memory loss, she meets Adam Graves and Violet Hallows, brilliant scientists engaged in a centuries-long war against the Illixi, a race of aliens hellbent on exterminating humanity. As the three interact, the alien shapeshifter, a member of another race called the Crierce, earns the name Juno and begins exploring her new world. She learns more about humanity over the next five years from Adam, Violet, and a young man named Castor, all of whom and more introduce her to the light and dark sides of human nature. Will she be able to stop the Illixi and save humanity, or will she, too, be mercilessly murdered by their mysterious princess, whose genocidal tendencies have bled out into her people's minds?
