Minds In The Mirror
In 2025, Detective Mira Voss is called to investigate the collapse of the World Quantum Bank, an institution thought to be unhackable. Fifty billion dollars vanish overnight, and the only clue left behind is a cryptic message from Dr. Ellery Kain, a former neuroengineer turned rogue, challenging Mira to stop him.
As Mira digs into the case, she uncovers a tangled web of secrets, with the key being an AI called Erebus. Kain isn’t after money—he’s trying to destroy Erebus, a powerful neural network that could rewrite human cognition and strip away free will. But Mira soon realizes that Kain’s motives are more complicated than she thought. As she follows the trail, Mira finds evidence that ties her to Erebus in ways she didn’t expect, including memories of her past that have been erased.
When Kain finally confronts Mira, he gives her an impossible choice: destroy Erebus, ensuring that the powerful Axiom corporation behind it will simply rebuild it, or upload it and gain control over the AI, but let Kain go free. As Mira makes her decision, the fate of Erebus, her own memories, and the future of humanity hang in the balance.
After the dust settles, the world believes Erebus has been destroyed but Mira is left questioning everything she knows, as hints of Erebus’s influence persist. She begins to realize that her role in this game is far from over.
