I was bitter when I wrote my first novel. It became a bestseller in its genre, not because readers loved it but because they hated it. The story was about a guy who had every advantage known to man, but would still lose no matter what. I don't know why someone would read crap like that but many did, perhaps in hopes that it'll have a happy ending. Spoiler alert: It didn't. And someone killed me for it.
