She later awakened as a Cyromancy class user, after Yamaguchi Itawa—a knight who had served the kingdom for 12 years—saved Tetsuya and Aiko from thugs. Tetsuya eventually awakened, his eyes glowing purple, and a black and purple aura erupted, bursting like wildfire before quickly fading. Tetsuya never learned his class, and nothing changed for him. No mark appeared on his chest. Everyone, including Aiko, was surprised to discover that he was the only Awakener who didn't have a mark, and nothing had changed—he appeared to be just an ordinary, un-awakened human.
