In a world divided by power and shaped by war, five ancient kingdoms look to one force above all: the Overlord—a being of infinite wisdom and unfathomable power. Every kingdom has its own ruler, but only an Overlord commands the reverence of all. To earn that title, one must not only possess power, but also fulfill the ethic circle—a spiritual rite that requires the soul to overcome, or destroy, two other Overlords before ascension.
Kalamari, once an F-Rank child, lost everything in the devastating war between the noble Arcadians and the ruthless Kings. His mother was among the countless victims. The Arcadians fell… and the Kings rose in dominance.
Now, the King’s ruler—Veth—a furious and power-hungry A-Rank Master, seeks to claim the title of Overlord. He is violent, impatient, and determined to force the prophecy into reality, no matter the cost. Yet, Veth is missing one truth:
