The Female Watcher
Zara, raised in exile by her mother, uncovers a life-altering secret upon her mother’s death: she is a “Watcher,” a legendary guardian chosen to protect the kingdom from an ancient darkness. Watchers have always been male, and Zara’s birth as the first female Watcher led to her family’s exile. But there’s more—Zara is the first Watcher born without magic and the prophecy speaks of her as the Watcher of two flames(salvation or destruction), making her an even greater anomaly. Now, with her mother gone and the kingdom in peril, Zara must return to reclaim her destiny.
Accompanied by her mysterious horse, Hei Hei, who harbors ancient powers of her own, Zara infiltrates the palace in search of answers. What she finds is far worse than she imagined. The current Watcher, a distant relative, and the manipulative queen have turned to black magic, plunging the kingdom into chaos. As darkness spreads, illness, fear, and death consume the land.
