Is Saving Private Ryan A True Story Or

Fight, Flight, or Freeze: The Healer's Story

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in a body that wasn't yours? A much, much younger body? I can't say that I had ever given it much thought. That was until one night when a patient entered the ER where I was working at and shot me point blank in the head. You know, if he wanted a second opinion, all he had to do was ask. But that's besides the point... Some how, some way, I work up in a strange hospital with a woman that looked suspiciously like my mother holding my hand and crying. Over joyed to see her, it took me a few minutes to realize that I was no longer the 25 year old, successful doctor at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world. Nope, I was a 6 year old girl that for a moment... wanted her mother. When the apocalypse comes, it is everyone for themselves. I have three choices: do I fight for what I want? Will I run away and hide, or will I freeze when the demons of my past come back to haunt me? You might know me as the Healer, but this is my story to tell. ------ Fight, Flight, or Freeze is the second novel in the Rebirth in the Apocalypse series, this time featuring the Healer: Wang Tian Mu and her men. You won't have to read the first one to be able to understand this one, and she is not going to stay a child for the whole thing. Li Dai Lu and her guys will be popping in occasionally, but this is strictly Wang Tian Mu's story! I hope you enjoy! Noble Blood, Convict Chains. Based on a true story.

Set against the sweeping backdrop of 19th-century England and Australia, Collin Peacock: Noble Blood, Convict Chains is the compelling story of Collin Peacock, a man born into the shadows of nobility, fighting to carve his place in a world that constantly pushes him aside. Born on December 13, 1805, Collin and his twin sister, Mary, are the illegitimate children of Jane Peacock, a commoner, and Lord Peter Campbell III, a wealthy sugar plantation owner from Jamaica. Though their father acknowledged them in his will, societal norms prevented him from offering more than financial support, leaving them to grow up in the quiet village of Little Fencote, Yorkshire. Despite his noble blood, Collin was a man of modest means, working as a stockman and poultry seller. His strong will and keen intellect, sharpened by an education his mother secured for him, set him apart from others in his village. Life for Collin took a devastating turn in 1836 when he was falsely accused of receiving stolen pigeons, a crime instigated by his father’s family, the Campbells, who had stopped paying the small sum left to Collin and Mary after Lord Peter’s death. The accusation led to his arrest and a harrowing trial at the Old Bailey. Despite his protestations of innocence, Collin was sentenced to seven years of hard labor in Australia, torn away from his wife Ellen and their four daughters. The journey to Australia aboard a prison hulk was nothing short of a nightmare. Collin’s name was misspelled as “Colling Peacock,” an obvious clerical error that became a new identity in his convict records. Yet, even as he faced the brutal conditions of penal life, Collin found ways to maintain his dignity. He used his education to teach other convicts how to read and write, and his skills as a horseman earned him respect among both prisoners and guards. When news of Ellen’s death reached him from England, Collin’s grief was profound, but it also marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life. Upon completing his sentence, Collin married Jane Brennan in Australia, and together they started a family. With his indomitable spirit, Collin seized the opportunities available to him, acquiring land and building an agricultural empire in Laidley, a town that would later become part of Queensland. Collin Peacock: A story of resilience, betrayal, and redemption. It chronicles one man’s journey from the green fields of Yorkshire to the harsh, untamed landscape of Australia. Collin’s life is a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of overwhelming odds, as he rises from the ashes of a fractured family legacy to create a legacy of his own.

No one knows what this marriage will bring in crystal, Harry and the crippled man's life. Will they stay together or part their ways let's see. Excerpt Crystal was sitting in the greenhouse of her mansion which looked more like a jungle. A big black cat was lying near her feet. Its green eyes glinted darkly when it heard someone's approaching footsteps. Crystal looked up and saw Ivan dragging a bloodied man in the greenhouse. The man pleaded to her for mercy he said, "Please give me a chance. I wouldn't betray you again." Crystal closed the book in her lap and leaned towards the man and said, "Can you take away the pain my Harry is suffering from right now." The man cried loudly and pleaded for mercy again and again. Crystal was annoyed by his loud voice. She looked at Jade. Its black fur was shining in the sunlight. She asked, "Jade are you hungry?" Jade let out a roar and stood up elegantly. Jade took two steps back and jumped towards the man. She removed the man's hand in one bite. The man was eaten alive by the big black cat. There wasn't a sign of remorse on Crystal's face. After Jade was full she called servants to clean after her and Jade walked towards Crystal and laid down beside her leg and Crystal continued stroking its fur.

The Venom That Saves

“Who are you? A dormant were wolf or a human?” His voice broke as he spoke. His eyes were silently pleading, anxiously waiting for the answer. Deep down, he knew it already. Yet, his stubborn heart refused to concede. The silence that followed was enough to escalate the hurt he felt in his heart from a dull throb, to burning glaring pain. The bullet wound he received a year ago hurt less than what he felt at that moment. “Here you go. It’s time to end this forever. Let’s make it fun while it lasts.” He handed her a shiny golden revolver. One look and she knew, neither could survive a shot between the eyes. There was only one bullet in the gun. Her hands shook as she tried to let go, as though it burnt at her skin. Kai didn’t let her. He won’t have any of it. This was his surrender. His eyes spoke words that his lips couldn’t. They were raw with emotions both familiar and foreign to her. Her own silver eyes filled with tears as she tried not to cry. “I choose to die by your hands. You are the only one with the right to take my life. Let’s begin!” He didn’t wait for her to process his words before helping her place the gun between his eyes, which never wavered from hers. Click!
