God King's Blessing: Rise of the Failed Villain
Getting reincarnated in a world soon to be torn apart by Asura. Which are evil demigods hellbent on destruction—wasn't what I had in mind when I played War of the Last Celestial.
The game is based on an alternate Earth where gods who once walked among mortals pulled back their influence centuries ago.
Seeking to witness humanity's natural evolution, the gods sealed away all manner of ancient evils and left humanity on it's own.
Their hopes on humanity were shattered. Humanity slipped into depravity, embracing the very cruelty and corruption that had plagued their enemies. Slavery became widespread, and society reveled in barbaric games and violence.
So, in the 1st century, the divine beings—the Devas, Aesir, Olympians, Kami, Orishas, Yazatas—departed, but not without leaving their mark. To ensure some defense against lurking dangers, they gifted humanity with blessings, sacred knowledge, powerful bloodlines, and weapons of unimaginable power—tools that, if mishandled, could easily destroy worlds.
But this gift comes at a cost. This world is teetering on the brink of devastation once more, facing a second invasion by the Asura. Having already annihilated the most sinister entities confined in the underworld, the Asura are preparing to mount a full-scale invasion. The first invasion killed billions; what's coming will be even worse.
And here I am, inhabiting the body of a character I detested. Why? Because he's a villain—a genuine monster who kills without remorse. And, ironically, he wields the God King's blessing. This blessing lets him take half the power of anyone who intends to fight him or accepts his challenge—but only for the duration of the fight.
At first glance, you'd think this makes him overpowered. But that's far from the truth. He's stuck at Rank C, physically limited and utterly devoid of battle instincts. Even with borrowed strength, he's helpless without the skills to wield it. This character, whose potential was immense, was defeated by the game's MC with just technique and wits alone. It drove me crazy how the developers squandered such a rich concept.
I complained about it when the game was closing and maybe that's why I'm here, cursed to live as the character I once despised.

This is my first novel, and I hope you’ll enjoy it. The story starts off slow but picks up pace once the world-building is complete.
