In a fractured, post-apocalyptic world where gunpowder and explosives never existed, humanity survives amidst the ruins of once-great cities. Birmingham, England—once a sanctuary for survivors—has fallen, becoming a battleground in a brutal war between England, ruled by the enhanced Imperfects, and Japan, a nation where humans and Imperfects coexist under the shadow of a colossal radioactive-proof megastructure. As the two nations clash over dwindling resources, the remnants of Birmingham struggle to survive under the leadership of Elias, a hardened strategist determined to reclaim their city.
Erley, an Imperfect, works tirelessly for Elias, carrying out missions to protect the surviving civilians.
