Evil is besides the point
In the frozen wilderness of the Snow Lands, Scypha embarks on her coming-of-age journey with her wolf companion, Darko, when she experiences her first blackout. She wakes to find her hands stained with blood and no memory of what happened. As these episodes become more frequent, their cause unknown, Scypha can only grow increasingly fearful of the violent, uncontrollable force growing within her and the unsettling euphoria that always follows. There is no solution in sight, and she is slowly losing any and all desires to find one.
Far away, the dryad Eletha, a fervent guardian of nature who harbors deep disdain for humans, faces her own troubles. Dealing with humanity has never brought anyone anything but grief, yet she comes to find that Scypha’s condition could lead to something decidedly monstrous. As the girl’s struggle with her own mind escalates, Eletha watches from the shadows, uncertain of how—or whether—to intervene.
