Oddballs

[BL] Sharehouse in the VIA

The VIA, a prestigious school filled will all sort of oddballs. Some are adapting, others are still filled with venom, some are happy, others cautious. The school is set in a world filled with different interspecies people forced to come to terms with finding peace amongst each other after an agreement. One cold and unapproachable vampire king, an overly annoyed creature, a small cute friendly yet dangerous merman, and a human find themselves living together in a sharehouse dorm located within the VIA property. Four boys with different species and personalities, along with clashing ideals live amongst each other trying to not only navigate school life but relationships with each other and simply trying to stay alive in the human’s case. With his species already going on extinction, being one of the few humans who remain, he needs to survive no matter what, but how can he when his roommates are literal magic entities who’s cough could kill him? ——————————————————————— “What a frail creature.” A man with long silvery white hair and ice blue eyes says before turning on his heel. He wore a long sleeve-like garment that nearly touched the floor when he walked and was stunning. His hair too, nearly reached the carpet of the rug he was standing on if it weren’t for the hairpieces in his head tying his hair up all the way. His body was much paler than the average person’s, leading him to believe that was very much not a human but a vampire. He couldn’t his fangs thanks to the sleeves over his mouth, but he had a feeling. “Ahem.” Someone coughed. ——————————————————————— Turning, he craned his neck again and saw a second man with grey-like hair and a blue streak at the top. That man was huge for a vampire but this one was much larger. He could see fangs and a tail. “Uhm, sorry.” He said while moving out of the way. Vampires do not have tails was his first instinct but he could not think of any other species. To be fair, humans do not often see other people since they do not leave the village. The man had striking red eyes and carried an air of confidence. ——————————————————————— His first impression was bad with not only one roommate, but the third as he wandered into the kitchen. A small child who had cotton candy pink hair with peach eyes and a thin body. “You don’t need to help me, idiot.” The boy said as he reached for a plate he had been trying to grab, taking him aback. Was that a fairy? Perhaps an elf by the looks but this child definitely didn’t seem in college. He was just trying to be nice! “Ah sorry, whoopsy!” The pink-haired boy said with a smile and it was like hearts were in his eyes. Did… he just do a personality change? ——————————————————————— a tragic comedy of school life mixed with romance. no concrete update schedule nor word-count. [bl] [slice-of-life] [campus] [roommates]

Faithless Faith

I remember that life was always gray and dreary, those who saw it as grass and flowers were naive. Those who said that life revolves around the memory you made are fools. Those who spoke that life is a beautiful creation of some being are delusional. They think I'm pessimistic, an oddball of society, a piece of trash who doesn't have the will to live. In all honesty, they are just afraid, fearful that life won't be so green anymore, they felt rushed to enjoy life as it is. But I don't see it that way, life was never green or colorful to me. It was an illusion to cover up the impending doom of self-blame, destruction, and unknown time of death. They fear time, as long as the river flows death follows and gazes at the fishes that swam till they die and collect them. To me, it's laughable that they fight and fight until someone dies and then they felt remorse and wish they could turn back time to redo everything. The beliefs of many are easily shaken when life withers and turns into a cold corpse. Even at my death, I was peaceful as I took my last breath and look at the world with my empty eyes filled with dimness. I thought I would be free as I enter my eternal slumber but I then felt a beating heart, heard muffled noises, and an expanding light that quickly came. That was the time I was born and lived again to see life once more who smiled at me with malice on her lips. She was gorgeous, her beauty knows no bounds but she is quite fickle and is easily irritated. And she seems angered by me who doesn't look at her beauty very much. 'Sorry, all I see is gray and dread wherever I look. Your beauty is untouchable but we are privileged enough to witness it, alas, your colors don't enchant me.' That was my last thought after I was born. ... The cover is not mine, the credit fully goes to the owner.

Mixed-Blood Vampire

Nicoli's grandfather, Gustav, lived a long, remarkable life, and was a man of many eccentricities and desires. They say he never cried when he was born. Even after the midwives struck his bottom until it was peachy-red, he did not cry! Others even claim he learned to talk when he was merely six months old! "Maybe it's because of those fangs?" Throughout his childhood, Gustav was a bit of an oddball, and had unusual habits. Unlike other children, he detested the outdoors, and spent his days holed up in the library—explicitly avoiding the sunlight. "Is that why his skin is so pale and without blemishes?" He grew to be unparalleled in both appearance and talents. Something he called a misfortune, as it brought him nothing but disdain and envy from men and women alike. In fact, his talents in magic were so ethereal that some believed he was not human at all. "How can a human possess such strength, and command such powerful magic while retaining their sanity?" Perhaps as a price to pay for his unusual, ethereal talents, a sinister nature akin to a curse lay hidden in Gustav. "This substitute is no good either! Should I try human blood next?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, this is not the story of Gustav's life; that was the prequel. Years later, Gustav's time has long passed, and with the end of his life fast approaching, his sole reason for living is his grandson, Nicoli. As fate would have it, however, past mistakes come back to haunt Gustav, causing his untimely demise. In the aftermath, Nicoli learns there was a lot his grandfather kept hidden from him, and as he seeks revenge, his only lead is Gustav's last words: "Drink the witch's blood!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: The cover used does not belong to the author of this novel.
