Eclipse of Harmony
In a world called Oasis, society has achieved a state of perfect harmony with nature. The inhabitants, known as the Selenes, live in symbiosis with their lush environment, an ecosystem where every living being, from the smallest insect to the tallest tree, is respected and cherished. Resources are abundant, and no one suffers from need or deprivation. The Selenes have chosen a way of life based on individual autonomy, where each person is free to pursue their passions and forge their own path without the influence of prophecies or predetermined destinies.
The society of the Selenes is strictly secular, founded on reason, science, and cooperation. Religious myths and mystical beliefs have long been forgotten, seen as relics of a bygone era. Every individual is respected for their uniqueness, and no form of mental manipulation or psychological oppression exists. Freedom of thought is sacred, and the Selenes value mental integrity and independence above all.
However, this ideal society is on the verge of being disrupted. A mysterious group of individuals, known as the Awakeners, begins spreading strange ideas within the communities. They speak of shared dreams, inexplicable visions, and an ancient force that is about to return. They claim that an Eclipse is approaching, a cosmic disturbance that could break the perfect balance of Oasis and bring back elements that society thought were long gone: prophecies, messianic figures, and the temptation of power.
The story follows Lyra, a young botanist passionate about her work, whose peaceful life is shaken when she starts having disturbing dreams, similar to those described by the Awakeners. Gradually, Lyra finds herself drawn into a quest to uncover the truth behind these dreams and the foretold Eclipse. Should she ignore these visions and preserve her society's harmony, or accept their reality and risk disrupting the precious balance of Oasis?
Throughout her journey, Lyra encounters other characters who, like her, begin to doubt the perfect world they live in. Together, they must face complex moral dilemmas: maintain individual freedom at all costs, or accept a shared destiny that could lead to a new era of belief and power?
Eclipse of Harmony explores the tensions between autonomy and community, between reason and faith, and questions the true nature of freedom in a world that seems perfect but may hide much darker secrets.
