The Tales of Madness

A pantheon of beings known as Kami or Gods rules the planet of Taria. The Universe created the original two itself when it first made the planet. Others came along as mortals were made and populated once the mortals believed in something so strongly. Then there was one who was a mortal. Kentaro stood up to Kenichi, and the people believed in so much not only did he win, but he was welcomed into the Heavens as a Kami. Then slowly, how he descended. The Tales of Madness consists of three individual tales. Each with their own main characters in the forefront as we follow the descent into madness. Volume One: Tale of a Sumotori On Taria sumo is an ancient sport devoted to a man who stood up to the War Kami Kenichi and won. He fought to decide not only the fate of his town, or the island his town was on, but the entire Sasuke Empire. Now there’s an entire martial art and sport devoted to how the man defeated and became a Kami himself. Hiroshi is a young boy born to an artisan father with a deep love and respect for the traditional sport and ritual of Sumo. After his father’s death, he chases his father’s dream of him becoming not only a sumotori, but a full rikishi. When he’s recruited into the fabled beya of Hajima under the retired Yokozuna Kenjiro, who seems to be slowly losing his grip on reality, has he got himself into something over his head? Volume Two: Tale of the Village Protector A once strong and powerful cultivator and teacher retires. All he desires is peace with his wife, and to give her a child for them to raise. They reside in a small village where he's elected as the village protector. Everything is going well in their lives, until a mysterious oracle shows up to their village with a cryptic warning that the Kami, the gods of the world, are up to no good. Silas wakes up, his town destroyed, and his power gone. The apprentice he was coerced to have and his wife, also gone. He has to uncover a plot by a rogue kami while discovering why he is powerless while he tries to find out what happened to his wife. Volume Three: Tale of a Beggar A cultivator but also a homeless beggar is sent to a western continent to help his master find a key that can help his Master's old friend. Once in the west he finds resistance to learning about different gods, but finds the god the westerners worship isn't so different from the Kami. They all look the same in the pictures they've painted. Everything changes when the town he's been staying is overrun by barbarians. They aren't cultivators, not really, they have an animalistic spirit and are very powerful in their own right. He's taken in as by the horde and while there he learns of an ancient relic that the lords of Demon have. The thing is, he's not the only one who knows about it. He has competition, a sect from the East is coming and is ready to make dark deals to get the treasure.

Wandering Wonderland: Mochi Madness

Dying wasn’t part of the plan. But staying dead? Turns out, that’s not an option either. When our not-so-lucky soul gets trapped in a jar—yes, a jar—he knows something’s gone terribly wrong. Even worse, the one responsible is a devilish little girl who treats cosmic horrors like playthings while using legendary artifacts as mere kitchen tools. She’s making something… monstrous… And he? He’s probably one of the ingredients. Join our hapless soul as he bounces (sometimes literally) between life-threatening trials, whimsical chaos, and the occasional brush with cosmic insanity—all while trying to survive a devilish little girl who is anything but ordinary. Welcome to a world where nothing is what it seems—where the absurd meets the terrifying—and everyone’s a little bit mad. Readers can expect: Slow start but gains a faster pace, bouncy action, madcap adventures, humorous moments, LitRPG/GameLit elements, lots of fantastic creatures and magical stuff, spooky mystery, tons of character focus, lots of worldbuilding, reader interaction, a dash of cosmic horrors and a slice of madness. Chapter Frequency/Update: One chapter a day, every day of the week, for now, until I burn through all my keyboards and run out of money to buy new ones... Oh, and when I finally answer my boss who has been calling non-stop for me to come in to work... --- Hello, fellow adventurers, dreamers, and story-chasers! I’m Mochibun—a fluffy bun with a knack for writing and a heart full of whimsy, here to share my journey into a world of madness, cosmic shenanigans, and bouncing mochis (yes, you read that right). Who am I? Picture a person sneaking under blankets as a kid, flashlight in hand, devouring books while gaming on the sly, hoping their Asian parents didn’t catch them. Fast-forward to today, and here I am—a lover of art, literature, and everything in between, crafting worlds I’ve dreamed of for far too long but was too terrified to share. (Cue dramatic music.) Why am I here? A friend nudged me—okay, shoved me—into finally putting one of my most cherished stories out there for all to see, and now there’s no going back! It’s called Wandering Wonderland, or rather, I wanted to call it Mochi Madness at first, but ended up making that the title of the first volume instead, and you'll find out why later, much later. It’s filled with wild adventures, a mischievous devilish girl, cosmic horrors who are more scared of the main character than he is of them, and of course, a little dash of mochi-flavored madness. If you’re up for a story that’s whimsical, funny, and just a tad bit insane, you might enjoy joining me on this journey. What can you expect from me? I’ll be posting one chapter a day (yep, I’m on writing vacation mode), and then as my normal job creeps back into the picture, I’ll aim for 4-5 chapters a week. No promises on world-saving plot twists, but I guarantee lots of platformer-inspired shenanigans, adorable cosmic chaos, and a poor soul who really didn’t ask to be trapped in a jar by a girl with a black belly, whose cooking skills terrify even eldritch horrors. PS: I take editing and proofreading quite seriously, but if you do manage to actually find any grammar mistakes or other errors, point them out in the comments and I'll share with you some of these gigantic triple-chocolate chip cookies that I bake from time to time~ Feel free to drop by and say hi, share your thoughts, or even give me a virtual hug (I might need it). Let’s wander this wonderland together, one madcap chapter at a time. And hey, if you’re curious enough to check out my world and meet those within it… Well, who knows what sort of mischief you’ll stumble upon? *wink wink* Mochibun, signing off with lots of fluff and fantastical dreams~

Ultimate Universe The Elemental Madness

Introduction In a sprawling universe teeming with Devs, Devis, superheroes, and villains, a cosmic tapestry unfolds, woven by the divine hand of Omkar, the god of gods. With boundless creativity, Omkar birthed countless universes, each with its own destiny. In each universe, Omkar’s magnum opus, a trio of celestial beings emerged—the illustrious Trimurti. Lord Brahma, the master of creation, Lord Vishnu, the guardian of preservation, and Lord Shiva, the harbinger of destruction, commanded awe and reverence, earning the collective title of Trimurti from their celestial peers. As the universe flourished under their watchful gaze, Trimurti bestowed unique powers upon an array of Devs and Devis, crafting a pantheon of extraordinary beings. Among them, the valiant Dev Indra was anointed as the leader, guiding the others with divine wisdom and strength. Yet, not all creations were as benign. To maintain cosmic balance, the Trimurti created formidable monsters known as rakshas and asura. However, these creatures, driven by a thirst for power and a desire to conquer the world, waged war against the Devs and Devis. The indomitable Trimurti, alongside their faithful Devs and Devis, rallied against the onslaught, cunningly sealing the ferocious beasts within the depths of Patal Lok, a realm hidden away from mortal eyes. To secure these prisons, intricate keys were forged by the skilled hands of Dev Vishvakarma, locking away the menace for eternity. With the menace contained, the Devs and Devis retreated to Swarglok, a realm of unparalleled serenity. Yet, tranquility alone couldn’t quell their ambitions. A collective decision was reached among the deities to create five elemental rings, infused with the raw power of cosmic energy—a force transcending mortal comprehension. These rings were designed to empower worthy beings to maintain cosmic balance. Dev Vishvakarma lent his divine craftsmanship to shape elemental stones, complementary to the rings, yet bereft of the ability to choose their owners. With their creation complete, the five rings were safeguarded within separate chambers, veiled in secrecy and shrouded in enigma. Their exact locations remained a mystery, whispered only among the Devs and Devis themselves. Eons passed, the echoes of legends fading into the annals of time. Until one fateful day, when a single individual, against all odds, gathered the rings and unleashed the incarcerated terrors from Patal Lok. Chaos erupted, and the universe trembled in the wake of unprecedented devastation. Yet, even in the darkest hour, the Devs and Devis rallied, vanquishing the assailant and vowing to withhold direct intervention in the affairs of the universe. Retreating once more to Swarglok, they concealed the rings within their chambers, their exact fate uncertain. Some believed the chambers fell apart through the passage of time, while others whispered of a sinister hand deliberately shattering the barriers that guarded the rings. Now, as the cosmic sands of destiny shift, the search for these celestial artifacts begins anew. Whispers of their existence flutter amidst the starry expanse, waiting to be discovered by those bold enough to embark on an extraordinary quest, where the fate of the universe hangs in the balance.

Edge of Madness (Book 1 of the Madness Series)

500 years ago, the Goddess of Order, Meena, chose a mortal whom she fancied and made him her champion, bestowing upon him great power that ensured he never lost a war and he always prevailed in the face of adversity. The 'Jojoh Meena', the blessing of the Goddess of Order, was passed down from the mortal whom she favored and down through the line of his male descendants who became Kings of the Kingdom of Binoria. The descendants, with the power of the Goddess, waged war against their rival Kingdoms. Nearly wiping out the kingdom of Kolotia who defied their rule. Subjugating the Remu and the Talisi Kingdoms and forcing them to pay an annual penance to the mighty Binoria to ensure their fate doesn't mirror that of Kolotia. Vayin Vigon, present king of Binoria and holder of the blessing of the Goddess as his ancestors before him, sits on the red throne of the most powerful kingdom in the realm, Binoria. King Vayin Vigon is unstoppable in and out of the field of battle and his reign of tyranny seems to have no end. But unbeknownst to King Vayin is a Kolotian shepherd named Ishar, a young man who catches the eye of the God of Chaos, a malevolent God named Ovek who seeks to right the wrong done to the realm 500 years ago by the Goddess Meena. As the Goddess of Order gave to the Kings of Binoria so must the God of Chaos take from Ishar so as to restore balance within the realm.
