In a world ravaged by the first attack of alien monsters, humanity fights back and triumphs. However, the victory is bittersweet, as the planet is left in ruins, and society is forced to adapt to the aftermath. Suddenly, people begin to experience strange phenomena: headaches and interface displays appear, revealing personal “status” screens, as if they were living in a fantasy RPG. This transformation sparks debates about religion, philosophy, and the nature of reality.
In the wake of a second alien attack, the monsters, although reduced in number and confined to a remote island, continue to pose a threat. These creatures lack intelligence, attacking without reason, but their existence marks the rise of a new societal order. Mutants—humans who have acquired system-like abilities—gain power, while non-mutants are left to struggle on the fringes of society.
