A Rare Queen
Queen Evelina is young and passionate, but she's not stupid. She knows the importance of arranging a strong marriage with a Prince or Lord from one of the surrounding kingdoms - and is no stranger to the knowledge that the prosperity of the Realm must come before the whimsies of her heart.
In a bid to find her perfect match, she accepts her advisors' suggestion and hosts a grand tournament, to which all potential suitors are invited. Dashing lads from every corner answer the call - brave and strong, clever and quick, each brings their own unique skillset to the contest for the Queen's hand.
Prince Lucian is the favourite to win, everyone knows that, including Evelina. His triumph is expected, the tournament a mere formality; but while it is he who wins every challenge, it is his sister, Isabeau, who somehow captures Evelina's heart.
Whilst the tournament rages, Evelina and Isabeau become engaged in a competition of their own, an intense battle of wills where the stakes are far more deadly, and the prize a thousand times sweeter.
