After a one hundred year slumber, Dracula has finally awoken and is thirsty for blood, as well as a new bride. Shikura Sakume is a well known detective in Mistle Town who does not believe in vampires, but he is about to receive a rude wake up call when townsfolk start dying - all victims have bite marks on their necks and their blood was sucked dry - all signs pointing to vampires. It's a depressing life for our 16 year old protagonist, Ryuk Shikura. His parents were murdered when he was just 7 years old and everyone close to him, including family assumed he did it. For the rest of his life nothing good ever happened. Forced to see a psychiatrist for 4 years after he turned ten and then almost expelled from high school because everyone thought he was gonna kill the prick that he just so happened to break the nose of and fracture his hand. Fortunately he was pretty close with his math teacher(Mr. Katsuki) due to being supernaturally good with numbers and because Mr. Katsuki didn't judge for the rumors everyone thought about him.....unlike other teachers. Unfortunately the next day his aunt(Yuri Shikura) had broken into his home with a gun waiting for him to get home.......and when he got there.......she killed him ,due to the fact she too believed the rumors about him murdering his mother(her sister) and father. Just like that our poor old Ryuk was pulled onto the path of reincarnation. But,.........unexpectedly there was a message that popped up in front of him on a blue panel asking him a question..............[Do you wish for revenge on the human race?].......[Do you crave for power beyond human comprehension?]...........[If so]...........[do you accept the title of The Scarlet King?]
